Our hydra-pneumatic cylinders are completely self-contained drive units with multiple size options. Ideal for: Metal and composite Piercing, Riviting, Marking, Clinching, Staking and Assembly applications where high-speed, high-force operation is desirable. At HyperCyl, we specialize in the manufacture of hydra-pneumatic cylinders and presses for assembly and forming applications.

Because a HyperCyl cylinder's approach stroke and high-pressure stroke are independently controlled, separate regulation for the approach stroke and the high-pressure stroke is as easy as using a sandwich regulator on the high-pressure valve, or an in-line regulator. The initial stroke to close the tool is only under air pressure (without intensification), and therefore, low force.

Aries custom cylinders and presses can reduce nonconforming parts by nearly twothirds, eliminating the need for expensive QC and labor costs, greatly increase your bottomline. The ability to apply force the entire length of the stroke makes HyperCyl-EMA widely suitable for use with many applications.
All HyperCyl cylinders operate on a basis of ratios. Input air pressure (PSI) multiplied by the Working Ratio of a respective cylinder determines the cylinder Output Force. F=Input PSI x Working Ratio. Cylinders may require refilling of the internal oil reservoir at 3-6 million cycle intervals. Actual cylinder service life may vary due to plant air supply condition and/or applications.
The "AL" Rod Lock option is a locking device installed on the head end of the cylinder that provides a positive locking of the cylinder rod when air is removed from the lock. The locking action is designed where safety considerations require positive locking of the tooling/actuator when air pressure is removed from the circuit.
