For nearly 60 years, our hospital has served the people of Morgan County - caring for generations and creating an economic ripple effect felt throughout the community. From minor emergencies to lifesaving interventions, the care we provide touches thousands of lives each year and fills a critical need in our community.
The opening of the new Morgan Medical Center means advanced care is closer than ever before. In addition to our ongoing collaboration with Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, which will provide access to more physicians and specialists, a number of important services are available right here in Morgan County.
Your generous donations allow us to continue our mission. The Morgan Medical Center Foundation is designated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible. Gifts may be made in honor or in memory of an individual. Whatever the amount, all gifts donated to the Foundation support our efforts to provide quality health care to our community.
Medical emergencies are unpredictable and frightening. However, our highly trained physicians and staff are prepared to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Morgan Medical Center is one of two hospitals in Georgia certified as a Level IV Trauma Center. We evaluate and treat patients of all ages and are equipped to handle everything from minor stitches to trauma injuries and cardiac emergencies.
In the MMC laboratory, licensed personnel operate sophisticated clinical laboratory equipment to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of their patients. A wide variety of quality testing is available to both inpatients and outpatients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Most lab procedures, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, blood bank and industrial drug screenings, are performed on site allowing for rapid turnaround of results.The MMC laboratory is accredited by the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and The Joint Commission.
