Lots of planning goes into a successful wedding reception, and at DJ DanCo., we want to help you plan and celebrate the best reception possible. In this section, I'll offer some advice based on my experience, and hopefully, answer some of the questions you may have. Remember, these are just suggestions, and you may always plan to do your reception however you like.
The right music is crucial for any good party or dance, and we have made it our business to bring the perfect musical accompaniment for every occasion! From the classics to today's top hits, we have exactly what you need to get your party started. Having a DJ at a birthday, reunion, or anniversary party takes it to the next level as an event, and a great DJ will make all the difference.
The start time for any event should coincide with the arrival of your guests. Your DJ can start off the evening and set the mood with background music played at a moderate volume level, allowing people to socialize if applicable. For ceremonies, your start time should be half an hour before the start of the ceremony itself.
Has booked & entertained at special events in Nashville since the mid-1990s, first as a general manager of a DJ business, then as an owner. Dan has put smiles on the faces of thousands of customers and their guests in his 25 years in the business and is among Nashville's most knowledgeable and experienced mobile DJ's for weddings, dances, and events of all kinds.

DJ Dan was great. Really can’t say enough nice things without sounding like a generic review. Dan was interactive with the crowd, without overstepping and becoming to involved as some wedding DJ’s do. He played the music we wanted and had a very easy way to keep the music organized for us. Very professional, didn’t require any help setting up and was there when we needed him. Thank Dan for making our day great!

We had our daughter's wedding this past Saturday at The Wild Turkey Ranch and DJ DanCo was the DJ. I could not have asked for a better experience! My husband and I live in Florida and he made everything so stress free! Everything was extremely professional down to the last detail. The wedding was perfect and he did such a great job keeping everything going. We would highly recommend this company!

Note: we attempted to resolve this privately via email and nearly a week later, Dan has yet to respond.
Firstly, if your wedding is during a Titans game, you run the risk of DJ Dan himself watching the game on his phone throughout the reception, as we were informed he was doing.
Secondly, and most importantly, we explicitly asked for edited songs to be played and were assured by DJ Dan himself - both in my initial call with him and in the follow-up the days before the wedding - that he would only play unedited songs if a couple requested. DJ Dan & Co. were the perfect entertainers for our wedding reception at Thistle Farms!! Richard was our DJ, and he was kind, easy to coordinate with pre-event, and willing to go out of his way to make sure we had the perfect night. Richard had several phone calls with me before the event and listened to all of my ideas about how we wanted the party to go, and he paid attention to every detail to make sure we had the perfect night. The DJ Dan & Co. website makes it easy to build a list of songs that are "must hears" for the dance floor, and I can safely say all of our expectations

Unprofessional” can’t begin to describe this DJs outlook on curtesy towards his guests that he is supposedly “entertaining”. He treats those around him as “lesser” because he has the title of DJ. He was very unaware of his surroundings and has a control issue and was willing to embarrass those who might “threaten” his grasp on keeping the lime light on any slight announcement. In this circumstance it was a wedding, but I wouldn’t recommend him anywhere.

We gave Dan a lot of freedom with the music and he did not disappoint! The tracks that we did specify were obscure and he found them with no problem. His set up was great - very professional and fun!! And he was very accommodating as our reception turned out to be anything but "usual." We got so many compliments on his presentation. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking quality entertainment that won't break the bank!

I used DJ Dan co. for our wedding on 29 Aug 2015. We talked with the DJ prior to the ceremony and he seemed very nice and he provided a timeline for all the events of the wedding that he was required to do. We were very impressed with his attention to detail. He had informed us that he would arrive 2 hours early to ensure that all the mics and sound were working properly. Then the actual ceremony started and it was mistake after mistake. He missed several cues to start music and one of the most important things, the mic for the officiant kept going in and out. I found out after the ceremony that

I was one of the most hands-off, non-communicative brides leading up to our wedding, and Dan took it all in stride and was super-flexible, even with last-minute changes. Great, professional looking DJ and his setup is all you need. Also, one of the best values we found in the Nashville market. I'd recommend to anyone, using any venue.
