I may be a bit late in posting what is clearly one of the summer staples but. My daughter Lily asked me for our family potato salad recipe the other day and I said, "it's on the blog" and then, after looking, realized that it wasn't. Well, it's about time that it is! I grew up eating this potato salad, first in Texas and then in California, and have been making it, literally my whole life.

Barely a week goes by in the summer that I don't make this for a casual bbq or picnic, it's truly essential and my family never tires of eating it! My Mom (Lettie Lou) still makes it on occasion, .without the eggs. I hadn't planned on making that salad, I just, all of a sudden, got a craving and went with it!

Great experience! I was hosting a party of 12 on a guys trip. We wanted to do something other than going to a restaurant or bbq ourselves. I looked for reviews and saw Wren catering was rated well but there were no recent reviews so I passed. I agreed with another caterer but they balked with 2 weeks until event. I contacted a well known caterer but they were booked. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested Wren. Jennifer was delightful from the get. Within 2 hours we had the menu and details set. I was late to meet Jen but she had already set up and stayed on schedule. The guys loved the

Jennifer catered a buffet dinner for 65 at our home this past weekend. What a true professional. From the menu to the rentals, to the staff, the setup, the takedown...everything was just perfectly done. Food was outstanding. Service and style just first class. She steered me in the right direction every step of the way; she is obviously very experienced.

OMG I love this place!!! My maid of honor and I went there for lunch last weekend and our lunch was amazing! The food was so fresh, not greasy at all and just super tasty! I saw this restaurant set up at a bridal show and I knew I had to visit! So glad I did because it was scrumptious!!! I would 100% recommend it to everyone! :] Yay for yummie food!

Love Jen's place for lunch! I would say that this is the best place for lunch in Murphys, the only drawback is the teeny tiny location. But on a sunny, beautiful day it is quite nice to sit outdoors and enjoy the weather and good food. The menu is pretty long for such a small place, and the food is delicious! I appreciate that there are quite a few vegetarian options, such as eggplant sandwich, homemade (yum!) veggie burger, and an incredibly good (and garlicky) Thai salad with tofu (also available with chicken). You can also get your food to go, which is good for days when the weather

I drop by for lunch with my husband and kid.
I really like the restaurant's atmosphere and decor. It remind me of south of france. And the way food is present is impressive, like a soup is in a glass in a some kind of small basket(I like it).
My sandwich is good. Highly recommended this place.
Will drop by again. somehow I love that outdoor seating..

Chef Jennifer Wren's newest endeavor is well worth a visit off Highway 4 in Murphys. Former creator and owner of Alchemy Market and Wine Bar, Wren has what it takes to keep this eatery fresh. Changing menus; local and seasonal food; and a flair for whipping up new creations.

Stand out soups:

The curried Butternut Squash, Creamy Tomato and Basil with Parmesan, and the Clam Chowder are all worth a try. They all smell as appetizing as they taste.

Salads and Sandwiches:

The Thai Salad with rice noodles, red and green cabbage, cilantro and peanuts drizzled under a spicy ginger garlic dressing

Always on the lookout for new places to dine, I was really excited to learn about the opening of Wren Creative Foods. Jennifer Wren is a popular caterer in the Murphys area. She is known for her use of organic and/or locally grown produce, which many people appreciate.

I was in Murphys this past weekend and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is actually more of an eatery. There are a few tables on the patio, perfect for enjoying the lovely weather we've been having. Unfortunately there are no tables inside, but there is a small counter area where customers may choose to enjoy
