Hi folks. I am one of their competitors. The Ludwigs have sold the building that they were located in and moved back to the original location in Redding. (to be honest I do not know where that is - hopefully they can claim this listing and update their Google information). When I spoke with Pat, it was clear that this is now a one man operation. They are still open, but operating with reduced hours.

My Wife and I recently bought a brand new Viking sewing machine from Ludwig Sewing Center. Great price and super service! We would recommend this business for anyone who is considering buying a new sewing machine. We were helped by Lyla who is very knowledgeable about all aspects of these awesome machines. When the Viking arrived Lyla spent hours with my wife getting her up to speed on all the bells and whistles of her new machine. I have been taking my sewing machines, serger and older 70's vintage viking machines to Ludwigs for more than 25 years. I've always been pleased with the service I have received, I like being able to speak to the professional who repairs and maintains my sewing machines. I see new changes are underway at this business and am looking forward to watching the progress and maybe taking a class. Happy you're here!!

Just bought two replacement mats for my Brother Scan n Cut. Nice people and prices were comparable to on line sales. Only problem was their opening a few minutes late.

On behalf of SUHSD, Pioneer H.S.. Family and Consumer Science (FACS) Dept. I purchased 8 basic Pfaff sewing machines (SUPER DURABLE & DEPENDABLE) for hard adolescent, 1st time sewing use and 1 Brother Innov-is Disney Digital Embroidery machine. In addition, I purchase 1 of the same Pfaff & 1 of the Embroidery machine for my personal use, which was necessary for me to learn the machines at home in the summer, which enabled me to be prepared to teach using the machines in the sewing lab at Pioneer High School. I had many contacts, as well as at least annual maintenance service on all the machines

I just called and spoke to Jim about new Juki sewing machine. He advertises on Craigs list in SF Bay Area. When I spoke to him as I am very interested in purchasing this machine list price $2,999.00 he would not quote the price. He kept saying you would save hundreds of dollars. Really like I am going to drive from SF on his word. Terrible customer service.

I ordered a Juki longarm and frame, gave a $5000 deposit. Jim stated he would order the machine with frame, deliver and set it all up in 3 weeks. When I called the day before the agreed delivery, for a time, he said he couldn't give me a date for delivery. He canceled the order, stating the $5000 deposit would be credited in 8-10 days. So after waiting 3 weeks, I had to start over. I ordered from Sewing Machines Plus.com in Southern California. They ordered the machine and frame that day from Juki and it was delivered to my front door in one week. My husband and I set the whole thing

Terrible service, overpriced, very dishonest.
My dad and I had a timing issue a Pfaff 1245 sewing machine and took it to Jim at Ludwigs. First off he charged DOUBLE the service fee of Meissner sewing company in Sacramento and didn't even fix it. Jim charged us $280 to service the machine which he claimed he would clean, oil and fix. Jim didn't even wipe the layer of dust off it that was originally there when we brought it in. He didn't oil it, or clean any of the inside parts. Jim Handed it back completely filthy after claiming he fixed the timing issue. It wasn't fixed and after a five hour drive

I am so happpy how my Bernina sew machine was tuned up and serviced,it was originally bought in 1975 and it has never been running better,they fixed it when others tried, thank you Ludwigs,I really enjoy sewing and can't thank you enough.Sheri

MY Upholstery shop purchased a machine from them and we had nothing but trouble with it and they took it back and we purchased a second more expensive machine. We thought they built it... thats what we were told... there was only Ludwig name on it. We got no book or info with it to make minor repairs or adjustments, when I took it in for repair they said they were to busy to fix it right away. so I left it with them Its been 3 weeks no phone calls I have tried to call them and the 800 number don't work it just rings busy... There phone number don't seem to work at all.... its been disconnected

I just bought an industrial sewing machine and a 4 thread serger. I think Jim was the guy who helped me. He knew everything there was to know about the machines and spent a lot of time making sure I knew enough to get started. He told me to come back in anytime for lessons, advice or help.

I just bought my Brother Innov-is-40 here. They are really knowledgeable about the sewing machines and have them all set up so you can try them out. I picked this one because it was a great price and so highly recommended. I also get unlimited free lessons on how to use the machine with my purchase and was able to schedule a lesson the following morning. They are the only store in Redding that is authorized to sell Brother machines. If you are in the market for a new machine, I highly recommend going to Ludwig's!
