Stimson Lumber
With improving forest conditions and cooler temperatures, Stimson will re-open its timberlands in northern Idaho, western Montana and eastern Washington to walk-in public recreation. Some individual Stimson land areas that have ongoing high fire risk will remain closed to the public. These areas will be identified with signage.

Note, camping and warming fires are not allowed on any of Stimson's timberlands. Please review our public access guidelines prior to visiting Stimson's lands. We believe in being a VITAL PARTNER AND GOOD NEIGHBOR in the communities where we live and work. We strive to meet our customer needs with HIGH QUALITY lumber and hardboard products from environmentally-certified forests.
Services
Our story began more than 160 years ago, when a young T.D. Stimson felled his first tree. Through hard work, persistence and fortitude, T.D. and six generations of his family succeeded in building one of the oldest, continuously operating integrated wood products companies in the United States. Today, Stimson Lumber Company stretches across Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
Stimson Lumber Company produces high-quality lumber and hardboard products from environmentally-certified forests. Our Tradition of Quality extends through each and every product we make and is backed by a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Stimson produces precision end trimmed kiln-dried or green anti-stained Studs ranging from 2"x 3" to 2"x 6" up to 10' in length.
Stimson produces proven, sustainably-harvested, precision end trimmed kiln-dried or green anti-stained products that are in high demand in the building community. Studs are available in a variety of lengths and are graded according to Western Wood Products Associations structural grading standards.
Stimson's sustainably-harvested rough and surfaced Timbers are ideal for industrial or highly visual applications where strength, beauty and straightness of timbers are needed. Stimson produces the following products, but can accommodate other dimensions and custom orders upon request. OUR TRADITION OF QUALITY extends through every product we make.
Stimson Lumber Company owns and manages over 500,000 acres of forest land in the Western United States. Many of the logs we convert into building products originate from our own timberlands. This steady flow of raw materials from our own company lands gives us the flexibility to run our manufacturing facilities in the most efficient manner possible.
