Wolford Campground

Wolford mountain marina and campground is always a wonderful experience. We have stayed there every year for 16 years, for hunting season. Kristen and her husband do an awesome job. Will continue to stay only there. Can't beat the views and the great weather.

The camp ground is well maintained. The hosts are great. One issue: We have camped at the campground over several years. This year for the first time there was a distinctive odor from the toilets is Unit C. I advised the camp host.

Nice clean and quiet campground, friendly staff with a view of the lake. We have been going for years to camp and fish from our boat. Regarding the boat dock, the material used absorbs heat and can burn feet on a hot day so check it with your hand, wear shoes and carry your pets if hot.

We had so much fun, the scenery was beautiful, site and restrooms were clean and we'll kept. All interactions with the hosts before with questions, during for assistance and on our way out was very delightful. This will be a yearly family trip from now on for us.

Wolford campground was a disappointment. The site I reserved #62 is not really setup for RV's. The Wolford map only shows three sites in loop D as being "tent" only and so the rest are supposedly accessible to RV's. But #62, which from Google satellite appears to be a great back in site, has a large block of stone blocking entry and an RV can only be parked near the entrance to the site. What's more it isn't clear just where that would be. The result was that the picnic table and fire ring were about 100' away and inaccessible to my disabled wife. This non-electric basic site is the same price

This was our first trip boondocking in our new trailer. It was a great place to go. Clean bathrooms, nice camping areas, small filling station for water. Nice, sits between Steamboat Springs and Pump House. Thank you.

No shade and our neighbors were playing there music so loudly and being so obnoxious that we packed up and drove home rather than staying the night. Camp staff drove by 3-4 times and had them turn down the music but if was still VERY loud.

Excellent stay. Friendly and relaxing location. Absolutely no shade, so would be a tough location with wind, rain or heat! We had perfect weather, though. Beautiful high desert. Lake was a typical reservoir... not much.

We had a very lovely stay here! The lake was misty every morning and it was simply gorgeous! Kim was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with in making reservations/payment. We were unable able to catch any fish and there were a lot of motor boats on the water.
