As solid waste consultants for almost 30 years, we've built up a vast network of resources designed to ensure the completion and success of your solid waste project. Our track record in landfill, MRF, and transfer station design and permitting speaks to our core knowledge of best practices and the importance we place on keeping abreast of new environmental trends and legislation.
No doubt about it-our current landfills are close to capacity, and we are quickly running out of locations for new landfills. Add to that the cost of hauling waste over long distances, and recycling facilities become the key component to any area's waste management solution. As environmental engineers, we place a high value on materials recovery and recycling.
Waste-to-energy (WtE) technologies convert waste materials to energy in the form of electricity and/or heat. The energy is generated in most cases directly via waste combustion, or from the degradation of organic waste. Whether your WtE project involves incineration, pyrolysis, gasification, anaerobic digestion, or another process, site selection is a necessary and critical project element.

I hired Pete Barts by a phone call from Munich,Germany. So I had no experience in dealing with enviromental engineers and was complete new to this kind of problem at all. Right from the first moment my impression was like - Yes this is the right man. He was very ready to help us with a problem with a leaking gasoline underground tank in Tampa. He is acting very professional and was giving us important support towards the authorized authorities and tenant. He solved the problem within a few months which lasted for years before. The staff is knowledgeable and they are as good as they get when it comes to contamination assessment and remediation engineering. They helped us with a very complex groundwater issue and were able to bring us to closure quickly when another very large firm couldn’t after trying for many years. I highly recommend them.
