Avant Chamber Ballet brings exceptional live dance and chamber music together for audiences in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We present our performances exclusively with live music, as well as regularly commission new works of choreography and score. Avant Chamber Ballet is supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture, Communities Foundation of Texas, Moody Fund for the Arts, Locke Lord, Visit Dallas, TACA and Texas on the Arts.
Services
Trainee Program dancers take class six days a week from Avant Chamber Ballet's nationally respected faculty, as well as guest teachers and choreographers. Trainees have the opportunity to perform with ACB throughout the year. Daytime Trainees rehearse with ACB's professional company dancers and have the chance experience company life and responsibilities to prepare them for their future careers.
When you think of ballet you might think of a profession dominated by women, but that's not necessarily the case with choreography. Hilary Kennedy chats with Katie Cooper, the Artistic Director for Avant Chamber Ballet, about the Women's Choreography Project. Katie Cooper's Avant Chamber Ballet gave perhaps the finest performance in its four-year history, sensitively and confidently staging Balanchine's jazzy Who Cares?.
Avant Chamber Ballet depends on donations from supporters who are passionate about presenting the best dance in DFW with world-class musicians. AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. For eligible purchases at AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to Avant Chamber Ballet.
