In late 1999, at the age of 33, Patrick Barnes awoke with some blood blisters in his mouth. Having survived Hodgkins Disease twice, he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with the auto-immune disease, ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura). Called to ask about covid testing since it’s the holiday weekend and all Crossett clinics are closed and I was told I would HAVE to register in the ER($$$) and it wasn’t guaranteed the Dr would do a covid test!? I thought they wanted people testing? Now they can pick and choose who gets tested? And Ashley County medical center wants to make sure you pay an ER fee IF they are even going to consider testing you. Guess I’ll have to wait it out and find an urgent care in Louisiana.
