The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows however, was so wore out that pancakes are fluffier.
The room was small, but I was in a room with just one bed. The bathroom was very small. You had to kinda slide between the sink and toilet to to use it. The shower had almost no water pressure. There is most definitely a need for repairs and updates. There was no phone in the room, outlets were located in the floor and inuse. The only outlet I could locate was in the bathroom. The bathroom had any actual window in it, that opened. It was a plasent surprise. There were no bugs of any kind

Newly remodeled rooms if you can get past exterior. Had a cricket or frog chirping all night in my bathroom and that was after I had called the front desk to stop the music festival that went on for 2.5 hours from arrival until 9:15pm from people just hanging out on the sidewalk just down from my room. To their credit, the motel staff did get them to turn off their music.

The staff was very nice, and you can tell the grounds are well cared for. Unfortunately, I asked specifically for a non-smoking room, and it smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke I couldn't hardly stand it. The sign in the room said "non-smoking" but it felt like smoke was coming in all night. I thought it would get better when the heater came on, but it only got worse and worse. When I mentioned this at check out, they said "there is a smoking room right next door." Hmmm... maybe separating the non-smoking rooms into a block would help? The room was very small, but clean and could use updating

Wow, the reviews here are a real mixed bag. I had a great experience myself & I'm wondering if there are different rooms? I was given a clean room with 1 bed, in the same building as the motel lobby. The proprietor was nice, the room didn't have any bugs, the TV was good, the room had a fridge & it was priced extremely reasonably. The only negative was the so-so wifi, but the proprietor said it struggles in the rain and with the rural nature of Aberdeen. I would definitely stay here again though. Good value.

DISGUSTING. I didn't expect much from a cheap, last minute motel but this was worse than I could have even imagined. Bugs EVERYWHERE. Sticky floors, stained/dirty sheets, locks on door don't work, key gets stuck, and did I mention everything is sticky?? It felt like bugs were crawling on me all night, and they very well could have been since I woke up with bug bites all over my stomach and arms. We needed a pet friendly place to sleep, but next time we'll sleep in the car.

This is a very bad place to stay. The staff is very rude and the owners refused to come in to talk to us. My 90 year old aunt fell when there broken camp cot collapsed on her. Steve at the front desk never once asked if she was all right. He was only worried about the fact that I was holding my dog and he kept repeating that I couldn't have the dog in that room. The towels are brown and gross looking, the microwaves are discusting and the fridge in the room was also very bad. The bed sheets and pillows were something else. I wish I had brought my own bedding.

I wish I could select a negative

Good for explorers who don't care where they stay so long as it is safe and friendly. If you're on a business trip, you're not staying here. But if you're on a budget, and you're exploring the beauty of southwest Ohio, and you don't plan on staying in your room much, you'll do just fine here. This isn't Holiday Inn, but that's not the point. You're tired, it's been a long day of hiking or exploring, you just need to crash and then get up in the morning to get back on the road, then this is just fine. It is a road-side motel in classic 60s

If you are looking to stay in Aberdeen, Ohio, you are better off going the extra mile to Maysville, KY and look for lodging there. If, OTOH, for whatever reason, you feel compelled to stay in Aberdeen, you could stay at the Brown's Motel. We felt compelled and did...but I would not do it again.

But, if you do, be aware that the double bedded rooms are in an older two-story structure just to the north (right) of the more attractive one-story building with the office. The doubles are dank and dreary with that old musty motel smell.

We moved to the new rooms and took two separate singles
