Dr. Saub is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He trained at Stanford University and he is on staff at Good Samaritan Hospital and Los Gatos Surgical Center. He is a former surgical instructor for Stanford Residents and he is a former Chief of Ophthalmology at Community Hospital of Los Gatos.

To avoid a trip to the office, Dr. Saub can evaluate and treat some eye conditions online via a simple to use, private and secure video call using your smart phone, laptop or desktop. You can use nearly any modern computer, smartphone or tablet with a camera and microphone. All data is encrypted and HIPAA compliant, the video sessions are anonymous, and the video and audio is not stored.
Dr. Saub also specializes in educating each patient about his or her eyes. His philosophy is to take time to listen, to provide personalized and friendly care in a comfortable environment, to provide excellent diagnostic and management skills, and to partner with each patient for a lifetime of good vision.

It is also an in-depth evaluation that includes many elements to assess the quality of your vision, the health of your eyes and, because examination of the eye can reveal systemic medical problems, a comprehensive exam also looks for clues that may be associated with common systemic diseases such as heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes and hypertension and with less common diseases such as cancer, brain tumors and other serious diseases.
