I am 89 years old and very hard of hearing. I also have difficulty understanding the terminology used by doctors when the are explaining my problem and follow up care. Dr. Jerome Brendel is the exception. He talked facing me in a tone I could hear and gave explanations of my problem in a way I could understand and took time to clarify my understanding.

Great. Great. Great. I hadn't had an eye exam in years. The customer service was awesome. Friendly and efficient. Great selection of eye wear. They accept VSP. What more could you ask for.

Since Dr. Bliss has retired, the practice is now in the extremely capable hands of Dr. Matin Khoshnevis. This guy is a Rock Star! Personable, kind, and very very capable. He did my second cataract surgery, and took me from a -20 to 20/20 vision! The staff is terrific and any fears, problems, or questions can be resolved easily. When it comes to surgery, you want it done right-the first time. I recommend this eye surgeon to anyone with any problems. Don't put off seeing the world with clear clarity and normal vision.

Yesterday I had an appointment with Stephanie Yoshimura, Od. First let me say I'm sorry I took her valuable time. She was rude, and generally unprofessional. This visit was most disappointing. I had a full I exam done. I was in wanting to have my eyes checked for glaucoma and for macular degeneration, as it runs in my family, on top of having checking my eyes for any changes due to having type 2 diabetes. This woman was in such a big fat hurry that all she did was throw the drops in my eyes tell me to go sit in the waiting room, then have go back to exam room to complete the tests that

I called a few minutes before they were ready to close. My daughter woke up not being able to see out of one eye. (I had missed her earlier calls.) She was in Lincoln getting a prescription and they stayed late to wait for her to arrive. I haven’t experienced this much caring and excellent service in many, many years. Thank you Dr. Bliss and your entire staff!

Dr. Lewis Bliss, the very capable founder of Bliss Eye Associates, retired several months ago. The establishment he left behind, still bearing his name, is a very different kind of business operation now. Based on our recent experience, the quality of patient care has declined severely. My wife needed cataract surgery in both eyes and discussed her options with the resident eye surgeon for almost an hour. Two more discussions followed, including a detailed talk with the surgery scheduler that also lasted roughly one hour. Everything seemed set to go. Back at home, my wife started the daily routine

I scheduled an appointment more than a month and a half ago because my usual Optician did not have availability sooner due to covid. I received a can last Friday from them to inform me that my appointment was canceled because an current client had an emergency appointment and they canceled me because I am a new client!
When I mentioned it was unprofessional and very much an inconvenience, I was provided an alternative but they required that I book a two hour appointment so they can perform pupil dilation. I informed the staff person that I had that done last year, and wanted to opt out because

I love Dr. Bliss and Dr. Kennedy, Their optical staff and assistants to the doctors as well. I’m not so fond of their front or scheduling staff or rule since you can’t schedule way ahead of time. They will tell you that you have to wait until you get a mail reminder then you can schedule. By the time you get your reminder, schedule for the doctor is full and your appointment get pushed further.

Last summer when there was no COVID I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours with my mother. They seemed to over book and didn't seem to care that they had a waiting room full of upset patients. I decided this was just a fluke and was really looking forward to my appointment this week so I could get contacts. Working with a mask and fogged up glasses is nearly impossible. I received a phone call from a snarky receptionist telling me that my appointment was cancelled due to a problem on their end and I would need to change it. Then I was told that I would need to take time off from work if I didn

I was SO skeptical considering the rating on Bliss Associates but I was desperate and needed a same day appointment. I am pleasantly surprised and they made a long term client out of me! I called 8am on the dot (did I mention I was desperate for an appointment!) And the scheduler was able to get me in same day at 1130. Based on other reviews I was expecting to be double booked and waiting around for 20 plus minutes. Yo my surprise the wait was hardly 10 minutes. I walked in, stood in line [as both receptionist were on the phone]. I was called forward and greeted. She promptly found my reservation

If your looking for a really fast eye exam and want to get in and out as fast as you can? This is the place.
If you have questions or specific needs that your concerned about, go somewhere else. This place is set up to make fast money. One extremely nice front Desk girl (Blonde) the other front desk girl in black, dark hair was very dismissive and I felt like she would rather be anywhere but work.

I had a appointment with Dr Rabin at 8:30am. I took the first appointment of the day because I had a long wait on my last visit. But, I plan did not work! After sitting in the exam room for more then 20 minutes at 9:10am I ask what the hold up was. The issue was the doctor was not in the building yet. A couple minutes later he come in staying the staff may have scheduled incorrectly. Absolutely not the staff was great. Another inconsiderate doctor of their patients time. We all have lives.

A perfect place for eye care! All staff members are extremely helpful & kind. These are some of the best people to interact with. The facility is wonderfully clean with an open concept, it's really easy to get around. They offer a great variety in glasses styles (their prescription sunglasses are a bit limited though). It's always a great experience coming here, definitely would recommend whether you wear glasses or not. Keep those eyes healthy!

Doctors are great, staff needs training. I agree with Jordan who posted about the staff. I am always placed on hold immediately and transferred to different departments to explain my story all over again. Whatever I call for they try to put me off or give me to someone else. Once I had to make an appointment to speak with my doctor to get an answer to a question. Although I love my doctors, I am going to go elsewhere due to the absolute awful customer service in relation to the front office staff.

This Place is the worst I have ever been too. First I went here because I wanted Maui Jim RX glasses. Let all the car salesman games begin.

First I was told with my insurance about 585.00. Wow was I stickered shock as I had bought glasses from them in the past same brand for half the price. Kept asking why so high and told this was normal. Was never offered any options on lenses was told Maui Jims offer on lens only difference was tint color. After having a problem I found that to be false they have three choices in material. Was told you are paying for the best and if you have any problems

Their office called me yesterday to reschedule my August 19 annual exam with dr. Bliss. The next available appointment was in November! This is the second time they did that to me. The last time I had to reschedule my appointment with another excellent doctor who unfortunately left their group. I'm looking for another eye doctor. The staff does not care if you stay with them or not. All they care about is making more profit by taking more costly visits than a routine eye exam.

Hubby has been a pt of Dr. Bliss' for many years. After diabetic retinopathy, he lost his peripheral vision in right eye. Dr. Bliss was able to save his vision in that eye by having an IOL cataract implant placed. 15 years later, he recently had an IOL cataract placed in left eye also, along w/lasik in right eye. After two yag lasers to clear up cloudy IOL ... he is GRATEFUL that he now has 20/20 in BOTH eyes and NO LONGER needs to wear glasses. For the first time, in 15 years since vision has been going bad (being diabetic over 30 years), hubby is able to see his golf ball AND play golf

My experience with Bliss Eye Associates was great. I had cataract surgery on both eyes. The office staff as well as technicians were very helpful and Dr. Yamagata who was going to do the surgery, examined my eyes very thoroughly and explained the up coming procedure in detail.
The end results is I can see! That's the most important thing.
If you have to have this type of surgery, I highly recommend Bliss Eye Associates. They are very professional, courteous and they even laughed at my jokes.

When I first moved up here in 1986, I went to Roseville Optometry to have my glasses updated. Dr. Julie Thornton checked out my eyes thoroughly and told me that I needed to see Dr. Bliss because my eye pressure was high. I put it off. The next visit to Dr. Thornton sent her into a panic mode! She asked me if I had seen Dr. Bliss yet and I told her no.
She jumped up to the phone and made an appointment to see Dr. Bliss the very next day. I thank God to this day that she was so on top of it and sent me to the very BEST in this entire area.
Dr. Bliss told me that I had narrow angle glaucoma and

When I went to Bliss a year ago, my first impression was awesome... You pay huge for an examination for a resident eye doctor at that time was $200.00 for visit plus fitting fees...

Went back 3 times to get refitted because they could not get prescription right and still was rediculas could not see clearly near or far ... I suffered for a year, and set another appointment, explained my apprehensions, and was told that my original doctor left for un known reasons..

The problem I have is the attitude, they think there so much better

This place is nestled away in a corporate business center close to the movie theaters on Greenback Lane. Forget about dropping in on this place cuz you won't find it unless your looking for it. In addition Bliss is only open one Saturday 9am-3pm per month.

Now for the good news, the staff is very friendly and helpful. My eye exam breezed by and the Dr was engaging and caring something you don't always get these days. The selection of glasses very from generics to designers such as Tiffany and Prada but don't fret there are plenty of affordable good looking glasses as well.

My experience with Dr. Bliss and the entire staff was absolutely incredible. I was going blind from cataracts, and was more than petrified about surgery, as I have never been under the knife before in my 56 years! From the beginning his staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed, even on the day of the surgery. Dr. Bliss and his staff of totally professional and caring individuals made it very clear that they knew what they were doing and it was their primary goal was to put me at ease. The operations were painless and the results were so good, I cried like a baby for being able to see clearly
