A Taste Of Icicle Ridge Winery
And it makes sense, as you truly are entering the 5,000 square foot home of Louie and Judy Wagoner. Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Icicle Ridge Winery is aptly named for it's amazing views of Icicle Ridge.

As you sit at one of the massive hand-carved tables, enjoying award-winning wines, gazing out the picture view windows overlooking the vineyards and the Ridge, you just might be thinking you've quite possibly encountered the most ultimate wine-tasting experience ever!Featured on NBC's Today Show, Icicle Ridge Winery is one of the most unique wineries in the Pacific Northwest.
Services
The story of wine at Icicle Ridge Winery started in the Fall of 2000 when we made our first wines. Since that time we have focused on several varietals and always emphasize an approach to red wine which is rooted in drinkability.

Careful management of oak character provides most of our releases with just enough oak to detect, leaving the fruit in dominance on the palate and avoiding the thick tannic structure which results from extended barrel aging. The first white wine to be released in 2003 was our 2002 White Riesling. Recognizable by its cobalt blue bottle and a stunning silver/blue label, it has become one of our most anticipated releases each year.
The Wagoner family's latest adventure! Located in Leavenworth's burgeoning shopping and restaurant district, IRW brings an urban experience to the Bavarian Village. Uptown continues IRW's standard of excellence, warmth and sense of family in a lively contemporary setting. Located in the heart of Leavenworth, "A Taste of Icicle Ridge" is exactly that.
Pioneering grape growing in the Upper Wenatchee Valley began in the mid 1990's. Warren Moyles of Peshastin, a dear friend and gentleman, test planted several varietals on a 1 acre block at his home. His encouragement was a significant factor in the early plantings of vinifera at Icicle Ridge Winery.

The red wines are not good. Went to the winery and their wine flight offered two whites, a sweet and a red. We are not white or sweet wine drinkers, they made no offer to accommodate or substitute reds for $15 a tasting ouch! We did taste reds in Leavenworth, not good. Now really interested in reds, just across the highway is Silvara Cellars. Their reds are very good and they are very accommodating relative to tasting options. Very warm and welcoming,!

This place is perfectly beautiful, refreshing, cozy, welcoming, comforting, and uplifting. They produce such a vast variety of wines, more than I've ever experienced at a winery. Impressively, having such a variety of wines doesn't dilute the quality and expertise in each of them being produced, as all of the wine is exceptional. Even the groups of people with the most differentiating of palates will all be able to find something they like. One of the most significant blessings I've had in my life has been having the privilege to work here and be inspired by this family, both professionally and

They mocked our group of girls who were very kind and courteous for a bachelorette outing. I went to the restroom and overheard mocking of the guests. Wine was overpriced. So disappointing. Not a fan of the rude staff who seemed to be condescending and inattentive. Also the patio was nice but the space on the lawn felt cheap and not a good winery vibe at all. Would not recommend.

The wine was delicious! But having shown up 15 minutes before close(our bad), I didn't get much interaction with the staff. It was very quiet which was enjoyable. Did I mention the wine was tasty.

If you go to Leavenworth and you can only go to one winery...make it Icicle Ridge. The place is truly lovely in every sense...the views, the wine, the food, the service, the wine, the vineyards, the log house, the wine, the beautiful grounds and did I say the wine? Our group was there to celebrate my sister's bachelorette party. This venue was perfectly delightful! We did the wine hike (let's just say 3 of us did it in heels and survived lol) and we enjoyed every minute of it. The lunch, wine, and dessert was amazing! I promise once you go, you'll want to go again...I do for sure! Thanks again

Just a short distance from town sits this winery, a good detour from the run of the mill storefront wineries in town. While this winery has 2 tasting rooms in town I would highly recommend the beautiful log cabin tasting room over the downtown ones. You walk into the warm inviting log cabin with a grand fireplace and lots of antlers and country décor. You take a seat at the large dining table instead of standing at a counter which allows for a warm welcoming feel. I found myself imagining a great old fashioned family dinner in a cabin like this. Great ambiance. I think that is where all the appeal

Stopped in for a tasting and could have stayed all day! The tasting room is in a beautiful lodge-style house with a beautiful view of the pond. Great patio to see in the sun with friends.
I'll highly recommend the reds. I'm normally not big on merlots, but the 2014 merlot is very smooth and complex. Went home with a bottle.
