Developing the fundamental movements needed to build coordination in a fun way is the key to our Toddler classes. We provide a unique learning experience with your Toddler in mind. Classes are separated between the 2 age groups and our instructors work one on one with your child inside an intimate group setting.
They will learn the basics from every position in a safe environment. Starting from 7 years old to 16, we provide 3 different class levels designed to focus on each aspect of Jiu Jitsu for your child. Whether this is your child's very first martial arts experience or they've tried a different martial art in the past (including Jiu Jitsu), this is a great place to build the basics.

A: No, at this time our primary focus is teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which incorporates Judo and some wrestling. A: We have a schedule planned out at the start of each year on the competitions we plan to do as an academy, but they are not mandatory and will not negatively effect your promotions. We ask that if it is your first time trying Brazilian that you attend one of our new student classes.

After training 10 years (2 stripe purple at the time) and having moved to Redlands, I looked around the area for a new BJJ school. I look at 4 different schools (2 had black belt instructors) and by far Don Kim (who at the time was a brown belt-now black belt) was the most technical and most detailed oriented instructor I had seen. I’ve been at Redlands BJJ for 5.5 years and under his tutelage my technique has had a meteoric rise. The atmosphere is welcoming and isn’t saturated with ego. It is an amazing place to train and I have recommended it to people from white to brown belt as a place

If you're hesitant on trying bjj, and just don't know if you can do it, stop doubting yourself. Anyone can, and at Redlands Jiu jitsu there's no better place to learn the gentle art.
Everyone has been so welcoming even from the the first day.
I've never been the one to hit the gym, but here I've been able to shred weight while learning how to defend myself. One thing I would like to tell everyone is to remember is that Jiu-Jitsu is not something you just master in a month or two it's a journey a life long commitment, understand that life will happen but keep pushing and going. I've been going

They have a great program here. It is a good balance of instruction and hands on. The instructor is very knowledgeable and emphasizes safe practices, with a focus on the well being of everyone taking the class. The prices are very reasonable with no contracts. We looked at a few different martial arts places and this one stood out. Would highly recommend.

This is an awesome academy to learn jiu jitsu! Don, Geoff, and Matt are excellent instructors. The facility is very well maintained and always clean. They have classes for grapplers of all experience levels. The people who train here are very respectful and welcoming. Everyone is encouraging and there is great camaraderie among the students. I've been training here for a little over two years and I highly recommend training at Redlands Jiu-Jitsu!

Extremely welcoming and friendly environment. Redlands BJJ is taught by two black belts Professor Don Kim, and Professor Geoff Obst. Both with extremely good technique who have trained under highly respected black belt in the Jiu Jitsu community Saulo Ribeiro. Redlands BJJ is now affiliated with another high level multi time champion Give Santana with One Jiu Jitsu. Would highly recommend!

Been going to this gym for a couple months now I love it. I've been to other gyms and this place is everything I've been looking for. Professional, clean, positive vibes and great instructors. Super pumped that my kids and I both belong to Redlands Jiu Jitsu.
If you're looking for a gym with a good vibe and patient, knowledgeable instructors the. this is the place to be.
If you're looking for a new gym and have some experience under your belt there are a lot of advanced students as well. The classes range from beginner, to intermediate, to rolling and open mat drilling throughout

This is a great Bjj gym to train at. Wonderful clean facilities and world class instruction from amazing teachers. Don, Geoff and Matt take their time going over technique and correcting each student in the class. The students are all easy going and there are definitely no egos on the mat when it comes to rolling.

Don and Matt (Black and Purple Belt holders) are great instructors and made me feel welcome as an adult new to the sport of martial arts. It can be intimidating starting a new sport and this gym is more welcoming and ego free than other gyms I have visited in the area. The price point and energy at this gym speaks volumes and for itself. The impression I get is that they are more about the sport than the money which is hard to come by these days. Specifically I liked how the instructors would take me aside during practice and help me improve on an individual level.

Two of my children have been attending this academy for the last 6 months. My 7 year old son was previously training in Taekwondo, but I began to feel like belt promotions were handed out instead of earned. I also felt like his taekwondo training was not geared toward actual self defense. Plus, the constant fees for belt promotions/gear and the ridiculously high monthly dues were just getting out of hand. This led me to begin looking for a Jiu-Jitsu academy.
My daughter is mostly fearless and competitive, but my son is/was somewhat timid and uncomfortable with physical contact. I wanted

I moved to the area for work and school, and upon trying out several locations to continue my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training I found a great home here. Hands down the best jiu-jitsu you're gonna get in the entire area! There's no macho/meathead vibes here, and everyone is very respectful. It's been over a year training here and I don't see myself leaving unless work takes me elsewhere!

I send both of my kids here. one's going on 3 years and the other been here for a year. Prior to attending we were looking for a martial arts that would be practical, teaches discipline, and that has teachers that are firm but good with kids. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find a place with these basic qualifications. We found this place by accident when we attended a friends birthday party here. Master Don managed to control a room full of rowdy boys who never participated in BJJ, yet maintained an atmosphere filled with fun. That's when I decided to send my kid here. I&apos

Absolutely LOVE this place!! Wonderful family-like atmosphere! The instructors are fantastic with kids!! I love how they help kids believe in themselves and that reward comes with hard work. They also have a great knack for making the drills and exercises seem like games to the kids. Will be bringing my child here for years to come.

This school is legit!! Professor Don is not only professional and respectful; he is very knowledgeable and articulate with his instruction! As a visitor I felt right at home with him and his students!! Thank you!!! I truly recommend this gym if you want to start BJJ, if you are moving into the area, or if you are traveling!! Boom!

Let me begin by saying that I have been training "stand up" for 6+years. I have ZERO game on the ground. I have no prior wrestling experience, no prior jiujitsu experience and most of all, i am like most people a tad (use this word generously) out of shape.
I first met the good folks at Redlands RJJ a year ago and i should have posted about them then, but i didnt due to lack of motivation and honestly, I didnt know you could yelp something like this.
I came back to RJJ and I must say, It is as good if not better than when i left.
Lets start with the instructors: Awesome. Each
