Tiger on the Red (TOR) Martial Arts Academy is located in Shreveport, La. We are a school that specializes in the instruction of various disciplines that cover a wide spectrum of martial arts and skill sets. Our roots are in Traditional Northern Shaolin Kung-Fu, more specifically, My Jhong Law Horn Kung Fu.
All of our instructors are subject matter experts in their respective fields of teaching with over 90 years of combined experience and training. Whether it be in traditional martial arts, sport martial arts, combatives, self-defense, or strength and conditioning; between our full time instructors and specialist we bring in we have your needs covered.

Services
My Jhong Law Horn (Mizong Luohan) is an external style, with distinct internal influences. It draws on many aspects of the external Northern Shaolin Long Fist style, and the internal styles T'ai Chi Ch'uan, Pa Kua Chang and Hsing I Ch'uan, with which it is often taught in modern times. It is characterized by deceptive hand movements, intricate footwork, varied kicks, and high leaps.
We offer self-defense courses that can be tailored to meet your needs or the needs of a particular group or business. These courses can cover active threat situations, risk management and threat mitigation as well as hands on applications that can be used to save your life or the life of other.
We have a large training cadre to pull from for these events with backgrounds ranging from current and prior military and law enforcement to combatives and hand to hand experts.Contact us to get your private training scheduled.

Our defensive tactics and combatives course can be designed around the needs or your group. We want to help our law enforcement have access to the type of training that could save their lives or the lives of those they swear to protect. If you are current military and would like to supplement the combatives training you currently have we can you help.

My boys have been going here for over 8 years. Not only have they learned the beautiful art of Kung Fu, the instructor, Jimbo Carinio has helped instill in them confidence and self control. The instructors always do the extra mile when teaching. Anyone is welcome, they work with disabilities as well.
