I called about my cheap little sewing machine (it was a singer, basic model. This shop does not sell singers, but they are a recognized reputable brand) saying I was having (explained specific problem ). Man told me that the model was junk out of the box. That they no longer made parts for it, ect. Well I talked to my friend and it was a really simple fix. It's running like a champ now. This is a dirty way to get business and had he been straight forward I would have most likely went to him for an upgrade.
There is no doubt that this guy knew what was wrong.
