When you think about visiting the nail salon, what comes to mind? For us, it was long wait times, surprise price increases, harsh chemicals, and oftentimes an unsanitary environment. Through talking to friends, family, and complete strangers, we learned that most people were like us - excited by the idea of having their nails done, but not at the expense of their health.

I chose this place because it was close to where I lived and I thought “how could you screw up a pedicure?” Well this place managed to do that. When you first arrive why would you give me a sheet asking what nail shape I wanted if you aren’t going going to do that nail shape. And then without asking you cut my nails excessively short. Toenails take a while to grow and I had been maintaining their shape and condition so they would look good and be long but not gross or too long. If I wanted them to be excessively short I would have maintained them at a short length before the appointment/throughout

Long story short- I don’t usually get my nails done and was pretty selective about picking a great salon for my wedding nails. So I called this place months in advance, ended up booking with them for my bridal party nails - the owner was super communicative and great to work answering my questions leading up to the day. Unfortunately the experience once we arrived for our appointment was not great- aside from being told we would be finished within 2 hours (5 techs, 6 women getting services) - I called ahead and confirmed time we would finish as my rehearsal at the church was later that day; and

I wish I could give this place zero stars. They RUINED my nails and the staff was so rude. They quoted me one price and ended up charging me 3X the price. They filed my nail beds until red and irritated and cut me multiple times. I was in so much pain I contemplated leaving in the middle of the service. When I went to pay and asked why they were charging me $30 instead of $10 for the gel removal, the lady replied "you are lucky I am not charging your $40". This was my first and last time here.

I had an absolutely amazing experience! I usually get my nails done by one artist only in Austin, TX, but at her suggestion I tried Laquerus. Madisen is AMAZING, she’s literally the twin of my artist in Austin. Not only is she super friendly and all around awesome, but her attention to detail and artist talent is top notch! I already have my second appointment booked with her and even though I love my nails right now, I can’t wait to go back!

Typical weekends. What to do. My girlfriend and I decided to get manicures. We walked in and was greeted right away. I was 30 minutes early but my artist was ready to see me right away which was very convenient.
First, I appreciate the employer's initiative to encourage customers to wash the hands.
Second, invisible shields and masks are there to protect the employees and the customers.
I really enjoyed the place. My first time here but I will be coming back.
Tip system is amazing too so that artists can get the tip privately and securely from the client. (via Venmo).

I went in for a pedicure and a gel manicure in the morning. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, but gave it a shot anyway while I was in town. My pedicure was fine nothing was wrong, but one of the nails needed to be redone in the service. That nail that was redone ended up getting dent the second I got home after my service. My gel manicure was gorgeous no complaints, and the whole service took about 2.5 hours. I was slightly overcharged however the issue was resolved right away. No complaints minus the dent on my pedicure, but sure if I called they would offer to fix it. Overall, would

I didn’t have the best experience. According to the webpage a manicure is supposed to include a spray & warm towel wrap to begin. My nail tech skipped these steps. She cut and filed my nails and never cleaned out underneath the nails. I told her they didn’t feel good, but she didn’t offer to do anything to fix it. I had to clean them out myself after she was done. My first nail chipped 2 days ago after only 3 days of wear ( no hot tubs or anything like that). 3 more nails have chipped by today. Also, one of the nails never did have the clear gloss coat it on, so it has been a matte finish

Adorable nail salon! They offer you a LaCroix when you walk in and have a nice wall to try on colors. I wish they had a few more colors for gel but I've always been able to find something I like. They have you fill out a comment card with your preferences and check it each time you have an appointment.
I've had my nails done here 3 times. The first two were perfect (done by Kat and Madison)! I always get gel and they lasted slightly longer than typical. The third time my nails looked good; the nail technician was newer. She was really kind and thoughtful and gave a great massage. The

What's interesting is that there are no tubs of water for a pedicure. I didn't even realize it until my person hiving me the pedi pointed it out and I though, Oh Yeah! There's no water tub!
There are ways to soften skin with sprays and lotions and not expend and waste all of the water. It does make sense! I like the little card you fill out with your preferences, too (see my pic).
The pedicure didn't last as long as some others, though, and I did feel like I missed out on some exfoliation. So, it's kinda tough to judge what to give it as a rating. I'll be generous

This place is so cute & trendy. In my opinion it is exactly what Downtown Madison needed in terms of nail salons. The staff is friendly and the woman who did my nails did a great job. They have sample nail art already provided if you wanted to just choose one, or they are able to try and paint something you come up with. I would recommend this place 100%!

My best friend’s wedding was two weekends ago. And I, of course, had to get my nails done. My husband and I were visiting Madison and I was lucky enough to find this place - and they worked me in last minute! If I lived in WI I would make this my regular place! This is a photo of my nails, taken today, two weeks after I got them done! They still look great! I can’t thank these ladies enough! They were great company and great at what they do! Highly recommended this place!

My first (and likely last) visit to Laquerus was December 2018. I will start with the positives: the studio is beautiful -- trendy, modern and inviting. A refreshing sight from most nail salons that are dated and dark (or worse, hospital-like with an abundance of fluorescent lighting). The online booking process was easy, and I appreciated all info a new client would be curious about it posted on their website. My in-studio experience was wonderful, and my nail tech(s) during both visits (more on that below) were fabulous, both in their skill and personality.

Came in for a gel manicure with full nail art last month and had a great experience. The studio itself was stunning, very comfortable, relaxing and clean. I appreciated the option to fill out my preferences on shape of my nail and preference on talking (I wish Uber would do this!) and it was so great having them already know that information and apply my preferences. I did an ombré manicure which turned out beautiful and lasted about 3.5 weeks! They also have great merchandise... I got some nail files which may be the best I've ever found, some lip exfoliant which tastes and works great.
