Suspended Based Arts or "Aerial Arts" are rigged to a free-standing Global Truss System, keeping our studio State-of-the-Art. We have several toys to hang from and no experience is necessary!. Staring at age 7 and up! Aerial Silks is a perfect way to start your adventure into the AIR. No experience necessary.
Aerial is for everyone! Leave your excuses at the door and welcome yourself into the world of flying! Classes range from split tail fabrics to sling sequences and there is always the relaxing Aerial Yoga class calling your name. No experience is necessary for an "Intro" class. Students work towards the completion of our Aerial Assessment while in split tail Aerial Silks classes.
Lyra is a steel hollow hula-hoop suspended in the air. Lyra offers the dynamic of a constant spin while moving your body around the static apparatus. Ideal for partnering or a secondary apparatus for your aerial goals! We do recommend students have the ability to pull up and/or thread the needle to enjoy these classes.

My wife and I dropped into a beginner aerial silks class while visiting Fairbanks and loved it! Lindsey was the bomb. She taught the class with aplomb for a wide range of ages and athletic levels. With no aerials experience, we felt welcome and supported through each technique. In the one-hour class, we did a quick warm-up and learned two climbs, a basic upside-down position, and a hands-free hanging position. Very cool. If we were in Fairbanks longer, we would have gone back for another class. Will definitely return the next time we're in town. And we'll get some practice in Minneapolis, where

My daughter had the best experience here š Teal and all of the other coaches were kind during the learning process, it was her first time ever doing movement like this! She quickly learned aerial silks and sling over 3 semesters and was able to perform multiple times. She even put together multiple choreographed pieces to her favorite songs. š¶ As a pre-teen, music is extremely important to my daughter these days.
Golden Heart Performing Arts is a healthy outlet for youth in our community to express themselves. This was the best way for J to exercise during a long dark winter. What I love

I took the intro class and attended the winter soiree recently. Once you download the app, it is easy to find the class schedule and sign up. The intro class provided a variety of moves and is taught in a way that is accessible for all skill levels. I did not know about aerial silks before coming to Fairbanks- it is such a fun sport/art! I am excited to take more classes. Unlike dance classes- you don't have to be coordinated to try aerial silks, just adventurous to try it out. The soiree was amazing to watch with a mix of incredible feats and performances- we will definitely be watching out for

Last summer, I took an introductory course in silks. I was so impressed with the level of instruction that really catered to all of the skill levels in our course. There was a diverse group in my class, ranging from young to old, fit to not so fit, but Lara really helped us all find our strengths! I would recommend this class to anyone- I had such a great time!

I have loved the classes at Golden Heart! I'm completely new to aerial silks, but they still had me hanging upside down at the end of the first class. I'm currently taking one of their progressive classes (3 weeks long, meeting twice a week) and the progress from one class to the next is amazing. Both Teal and Emma are wonderful coaches, and really want everyone to have a positive experience. It's a great environment for anyone - any fitness level, any body type!
