High Country Stoves & Fireplaces has Wyoming's finest selection of wood stoves, pellet stoves, and gas fireplaces. Our Service Area is within a 100-mile radius around Laramie, including Albany, Carbon, Laramie, Platte & Goshen Counties in Southeastern Wyoming and Larimer County and Jackson County in North Central Colorado.
Our freestanding wood stoves are designed to stand in a room without being surrounded by any other materials, i.e. surrounded by air on all sides. A freestanding stove is very practical for either new construction or retrofitting to an existing home. It will be the simplest to add, as it does not have surrounding framing nor does it need a fireplace to install into like an insert requires.

I tried to purchase a stove through this store and they were never really interested making a sale. We originally started conversing with them in January, but the Covid changed our plans. We started conversing again in August via email and found out the stove we wanted had been de-certified by the EPA and was no longer available. After a few emails over a couple of weeks to find a suitable substitute, they told me to go away. "I just don't have the time and energy to continue the dozens of back and forth emails." If they have this kind of attitude before the sale, I can only imagine what they do

The pellet stove that was purchased from hike country broke down and they would not come out to fix it but would just sell me a part so I had to find someone else to do it which is very difficult because most companies only service what they sell
But what’s worse is the owner won’t wear a mask. A blatant disregard for the customer. Yeah I know it’s Wyoming but all the customers inside the store we’re wearing masks the only person Refusing to put one on, even when I asked what is the person who Would be asking them for their money. Very sad that someone would let political perception selfishly

I moved into a house with no idea how to work my pellet stove. High Country Stove worked around my schedule so someone could come show me how to work it and inspect it to make sure it was clean and safe to use. Erick was very knowledgeable, polite, and patiently explained how to use the stove in conjunction with the thermostat. I would definitely recommend them.

I just had a wood stove replaced by High Country, and it was overall a great experience. They went WAY out of their way just to get the stove to my mountain home, and provided a wealth of information about the new stove. I now feel confident that my new stove is installed professionally, and no longer have to worry about fire hazards as I did with my old stove. Every point of contact with High Country was a good experience. They really value their customers, and you won't find more knowledgable folks in the business. I would highly recommend them.
