KH Water Specialists, Inc. was founded in 1992 after Kevin Hellenbrand spent most of his life learning from his father who created Hellenbrand Water back in 1967. Our founder, Kevin Hellenbrand grew up in Wisconsin, where he and his four brothers helped their father in the family business of manufacturing water treatment equipment since 1967.

We had our softener and iron curtain installed today and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received from the very beginning, starting at the initial phone call we put in when we were just shopping and researching. The initial person who took my phone call was very helpful, insightful, gave me his time to walk me through our current softener and iron curtain and troubleshoot what could be causing our issues. I had a new Iron Curtain installed today after 20+ years of love from the previous one that I also purchased from KH Water Specialists. Service techs Aaron and Timmy were great - on time, friendly, got the job done right and took time to explain the changes with the new system! What made them extra special is that as we were finishing up payment, Aaron noticed some water leaking from under my kitchen sink. We have had their Water Softener and Iron Curtain units installed for about 5 years in our new home. We were gone for 4 months a year to warmer climates and missed a lot of winter time at home. This year we stayed in Wisconsin. The water smelled bad so we called for service. It appears that a part of the Iron Curtain was defective according to the service tech. Thus, no charge for the part. Otherwise we are very pleased with the equipment and service. Highly recommended.

K & H is a fantastic company, they carry Hellenbrand softeners which are the best in the industry. I was having issues with the old softener which was going through a lot of salt each month and I was convinced my unit needed replacement after talking to few other companies.
Bill came to my house on time, was very knowledgeable and answered the concerns that I had, he tested the water and told me there is no issues with my softener as my unit is producing good soft water with near zero grains of hardness. Another company had made big promises to us but didn't want to follow through, so they recommended KH. When KH heard of our problems with other local plumbers, they immediately took action and came to our house. They fixed our problems with honesty and integrity and were very fair in their pricing. Moved into new home with well. Water contained black copper sulfide and smelled like farts. An iron curtain and new softener later and its good to go. Very good quality and highly professional install. Had two local plumbers recommend these guys and they said the equipment is the best out there. Support seems like it should be good although I've not had reason to use it, the system has worked well. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay. And the regeneration is a bit loud but only if you happen to have a bedroom in the basement.
