Why does my basement leak? Basement water leakage is caused by several factors. Mainly, the backfill soil around the foundation gets saturated by rain or snow melting resulting in seepage through the COVE JOINT (see below), the place where the basement wall meets the floor. This is caused by HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE (see below) in ground water at the level of the foundation footings.

Our inspectors can diagnose your problem and design a system and options for your repair needs. The Grip-Tite Wall Anchor System utilizes proven engineering methods to secure and stabilize deteriorating basement walls.

We've unfortunately had to use All-Star for both homes we've lived in. Although it is certainly a misfortune to do this twice, we have been impressed each time with the quality of work and the services provided. We used them for a quote compared to American Waterworks and their bid came in lower with suggestions that were more in line with what we needed at the time. They did a fantastic job with clean-up, had clear communication, followed the estimate and made adjustments with our input. I called all star basements on the Saturday of labor day weekend when we noticed water in our basement. Of course I didn't think I would get anywhere since it was a holiday, but to my surprise Jeff called me back within 15 minutes and made an appointment to come see our basement that Wednesday! I was thrilled he was able to accommodate us into their schedule. He came and looked at the damage and knew what we needed. We scheduled work for 10 days later. The day we were getting our new carpet installed there was a torrential rainstorm and when the pad was taken out of the basement the floor was wet. We had no idea there was an issue so we were overly concerned and stressed. We called another company and they couldn't even come out for 12 days to look at it to see what needed to be done. I called Jeff, and he was able to come out the end of that business day and determined what we needed to have done. I called these folks for a second opinion, and they came in much more reasonably priced than their competitor. They were very responsive, and if you are flexible in working with them, they thank you for it in the form of discounts, etc. For example, they had a surprise opening, called me and asked if I’d be ready to have my job done the next day, and offered me a discount so their crew wouldn’t be sitting. The team at All-Star Basements were awesome. From the person answering the phone to the crew who came to my place, they were all super friendly and helpful. It was a very fast and easy process from initial phone call, to staff being on-site to assess the issue, to the 4-man crew that were onsite. I was pleased on how clean they left my house, and everyone I’ve mentioned the repair costs to could not believe it was so reasonable priced. I would definitely hire them back for future work and suggest them to family/ friends.

Ill start with the positive. Greg and his work crew did a fabulous job tearing out and putting in a sump pump and drain tile system in our basement. They left a mess of rocks and debris outside but did great work inside. The office manager, Lindsay, was professional and kind over the phone. We were given two options on where the drain would come outside, one of which was two feet away from where the current water was draining into our basement. Not a good plan. The only other option that was proposed by Kenny the salesman was to have it drain out the back. We agreed to running it out the back.

My experience with All-Star Basements was fantastic from start to finish. They came and evaluated our basement and gave us an estimate, and when we called them a year after the estimate, they got us on their schedule very quickly, at an even lower price than the original estimate!
