I was driving to a friend's house in Duvall as my truck's check-gauges alarm went off and the temperature dial pegged on the dashboard to 216 degrees.
I pulled up to my friend's house with steam escaping beneath the hood. My friend, a mechanic and engineer diagnosed the problem as the radiator and recommended Automotive Specialties because he has been taking his own cars here for years. This is a garage that does not try to run up the bill.

We are Automotive Specialties and we want to service and repair your vehicle. This is how we imagine our relationship. About every 5,000 miles you call or schedule online and visit for a simple oil change & courtesy inspection. Then about every 10,000 miles for a tire rotation, brake inspection, oil change & courtesy inspection.

I have been going to them for over 15 yrs with my 4Runner. Loyal customer, however the last three times I have called to make an appointment, from an oil change, brakes, and now AC...they want to schedule 2-3 weeks out! It is odd how you help a company out with so many referrals and now your car is old and needs repairs and they can't help you. When I was on the phone, Jeff said "I not going to say I am sorry, business is great"! Wow... that is what loyalty will get you!

Great job by Chaz and Jeff on a brake job for my truck. Was having winter tires put on my truck at Les Schwab in Monroe and they told me my brake pads had 3 mils while handing me an estimate for $1300 for a full brake job- new pads, rotors, bearings and calipers. Sensing 'the fix' was on I took my truck down to Automotive Specialties and had the job done for less than half the price. It should be noted I did not need new calipers and the rotors were fine. Not sure what is up with Les Schwab... but I am once again affirmed that there are honest, hard working automotive specialists in the world-

After close to 10 years of service we were very let down after we requested a break check along with service for a road trip. we were experiencing break noise and let the shop know. the car was given a clean bill of health no brake concerns. 3 weeks later in the middle of our trip to idaho we are having to do emergency break work for being metal on metal and no where near the 30 plus percent we were told. this metal on metal caused damaged to calipers and rotors and in the idaho shops opinion they claim it should have been spotted on a routine check. we feel that automotive specialties probably

Just got berated by Jeff, because I wanted to take a picture of the belly of the truck once they had it on the lift. He yelled, "Let me explain to you how I do business, I charge 34.50 for an inspection and I don't do business like that! You can take it somewhere else!" And pointed at the door. It was AMAZINGLY rude and felt incredibly degrading. I was in awe! This is the first review I've ever written in my life about anything. That's how shocking his behavior was to me. Just WOW.

Jeff is super helpful and is a trustworthy mechanic. If he knows it will be an issue beyond his shop's capabilities (as was my last electrical issue with my jeep), he will recommend a place to take it. The rates are reasonable and we have never had a problem with any of the repair work he's done for us.

I can't speak highly enough about these guys. I first started going there about a year ago for an oil change and haven't found a shop that even compares. They're fast and friendly and they don't charge an arm and a leg for a simple thing. Jeff (the owner I think) is always so nice and easy to work with and the mechanics really know what they're doing and will fix your car right. Would definitely recommend and personally I'll never go anywhere else again.

I'm updating my review because I appreciate Jeff's response, he also went out of the way to contact my husband over the phone regarding this matter. Even though I still don't necessarily think the price on the part was great, I do appreciate that the parts used are quality parts. I do think they may still be marked up quite a bit, but also understand that they have to run a business too. The labor charges were definitely more than fair, they were great, so maybe that's the trade off. Other than that, they fixed our vehicle very fast and it's running great, so thank you

We've lived in Duvall for twelve years now. Jeff has managed to keep my '94 Sentra alive, which means he's in line for sainthood. (Don't laugh, it's paid for.) He is honest, reliable, cares about his customers, does quality work, and did I mention honest? He tells the truth about what's wrong with the car, and makes sure you're back on the road as soon as possible.
I'm hoping I'll have a newer car at some point. In the meantime, I can't recommend Automotive Services highly enough.

Jeff and his team are great! I've had my car serviced by them a couple of times and really appreciate their friendly service. They do fast work and do it at an affordable price. They don't try to scare you into thinking that your car needs more work like some other shops do. I will definitely be taking my car back to them again!
