Aerial Photogrammetry utilizes photographs to measure topography(ground elevations, contours, etc.) and planimetrics (streets & building locations, etc). These photographs have been historically taken from planes at altitudes of greater than 1000 feet. Recently the technology behind radio-controlled model aircraft aka "Drones" has opened the market to low-altitude photogrammetry.
