Two psychologists, Dr. Jerry Morris and Dr. Roger Wise, founded the mental health center in 1978. The organization's offices are located in Nevada and Harrisonville, Mo. Each site in CMHC, Inc. has a unique local name and identity e.g. Nevada Mental Health Services and Cass County Psychological Services, etc. but all programs, staff, and clinical programs are operated under a uniform management, policy, and procedures which are seamless.
Services
CMHC, Inc. and the three facilities (including Cass Co Psychological Services) are not a private practice but a Healthcare Corporation that is nationally accredited by CARF. As such, it is like a Hospital, a Medical Practice that is corporate owned and operated, or other corporations. Our facilities are recognized by SAMSHA, and other bodies listing healthcare and specialty facilities.
CMHC, Inc. is a practitioner owned comprehensive community mental health center affiliated with a public hospital (Bates County Memorial Hospital) and related primary care clinics. The two organizations are moving toward a model of Integrated Care as encouraged in the Accountable Care Act and federal rules and legislation.
This is our corporate office and questions can be addressed to Terri Morris, CEO. Dr. Toronto-Medical Director sees patients at this site and nurses are available. Dr. Morris-Clinical Director is in Nevada office four days a week and travels to Harrisonville one day a week and also sees patients by Telehealth.
CMHC, Inc. has a long history of working in case rate and contracted programming dating to 1978. We have weekly staffing and computer monitoring of clinical need and resource allocation and consumption. Our case management follow-up, medication and treatment compliance management systems, and patient treatment plan and outcomes monitoring is state of the art and built on systems which have been in place since the late 1970s.
CMHC is an expanding and growing community mental health and primary care center with wonderful opportunities and above the mean incomes for licensed and provisionally licensed mental health professionals. We are in particularly acute need of more psychologists because of high volume of our need for admission assessments and psychological testing in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Came in did a 4 hour assessment and got told we had inconsistent answers which is whatever but we decided to peruse this through an other company and when told the receptionist got threaded that she was gonna report the results to a probation officer or case worker when we came in on our own free will and had no court order than preceded to be very disrespectful
