Thein Well was founded in 1893 and is one of the oldest and most well respected water well contractors in the Midwest. Bob and Mike Thein are fourth generation owners who have each been in the water well industry for over 35 years. Thein Well employs over 20 full-time employees who have years of experience and training in their division of the company.
We understand that your well, water system and water conditioning system is a long-term investment. Thus, we strive to make sure your system is long lasting and trouble-free. Our wells are designed to the proper diameters to provide longer life and better preventative maintenance capability. Our water systems are designed to minimize the number of times your pump starts, which adds years to the life of your system.
We are licensed to drill and service wells of all sizes in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska. We have worked on thousands of large diameter high capacity wells for hundreds of customers in our 125 year history. It is important to keep your system healthy. If the efficiency of your well is declining, it is crucial to diagnose and address the problem early.
A properly constructed irrigation well will give you consistent crop yields year after year. No longer rely on the inconsistency of the weather. We understand each farmers needs are different and require special attention. We will work closely with any pivot company you choose to properly size and design your water system.

Tyler and Jon were both professional from the go.
They arrived promptly and went strait to work! Tyler went down diagosed the problems immediately and requested needed tools from Jon. I can honestly say both of these gentleman were as courteous snd professional as can be. They made every minute count. Arrived at 10:31 a.m. Departed at 11:31. WOW! Great work fellas please keep this up! 👍

When my well went bad they brought out a 1000 gallon tank and let me use that for the weekend while they got everything ready to drill a new well. They did a good job cleaning up after them selves. and the guys were real nice to deal with. If you have any well problems they are a great place to take care of those problems for you.
