Enjoy the cool, refreshing mountain air at an elevation of 8,100 ft. We're 18 scenic miles from the highway just off Piedra road (Forest Service road #631), 20 miles Northwest of Pagosa Springs in Southwest Colorado.
The road is 6.5 miles of pavement & 11.5 miles are gravel that is generally well maintained. As with any gravel road it can get muddy with rain and develop wash board at times so please be prepared to drive slowly & enjoy the view.

Services
We have a comfortable outdoor meeting area with tables and a large fire pit as well as our lodge for indoor meetings. HORSE ACCOMMODATIONS: We have two 20'x20' corrals with water that hold two horses a piece. Horses must stay in the area around the corrals and are not permitted within the RV/Cabin/Tent camping area of the campground.
To give you the most personal experience possible (and since we have not yet completely joined the technological age), we still take all reservations personally by phone or email. Please call us at (970) 731-2300 to make a reservation. Summer office hours are generally 9am to 6pm, which is the best time to reach us.
Our lodge, centrally located within the campground, is open to everyone staying with us. The bathrooms/showers are open 24 hours a day and the main room is open until 10pm unless otherwise arranged. All children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the main room of the lodge.
If you are into fly fishing wild, freestone streams for trout or fishing with the family at a lake or stream, then this is the place to be! Pagosa Springs fly fishing is both beautiful and plentiful. LIMITS: Though the limit is generally 4 trout on most of the streams, it is catch and release only on the main Piedra river from the Piedra road bridge to HWY 160.
The Pagosa Springs area offers excellent mountain biking for all levels of riders. There are a few trails and many miles of rideable gravel roads right from the campground. Just 9 miles south of us the Turkey Springs trail system offers over 25 miles of well maintained single track. The Treasure Mountain Trail on Wolf Creek pass is a world class 10 mile downhill trail.

Amazing part of the country in San Juan National Forest with a quaint general store with lovely staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There is so much to do around this part of the country depending on what tickles your fancy. There is a lovely looking campground that we’ve never stayed at since we stay at cabins nearby and just stop in for gas and snacks at the store because sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name.

Loved it here. The place is awesome for a cabin. They have wifi, a pool table, stove, and other activities in the common area. You like the outdoors, want isolation in the middle of mountains, want to be able to disconnect and still have things to do with the family or friends, this is the place. Melinda was awesome and easy to deal with. Will be back next time we're in town.

An awesome place. Beautiful area, well-kept sites, the store has most of what you may need in the way of snacks, drinks and basic needs. They have fuel as well as propane. Also have a decent club house, laundry and shower facilities. I dinged one star due to the placement of water....on the opposite side of any RV I have seen. This however is a minor inconvenience considering the other fine qualities of the campground.
