Services
ACPR gymnastics is a not-for-profit Harford County, MD gymnastics program. We offer affordable, quality, age appropriate gymnastics instruction for children 2 1/2 years and older and have a registration of about 800 per session in our class program. ACPR is a USA Gymnastics Member club and offers a team experience for those girls who have the ability and desire to persue competitive gymnastics.
One of the many great things about ACPR is our staff. We have many coaches who have been gymnastics professionals for over 20 years. Our team coaches are all safety certified USA Gymnastics Professional members. Recreational staff have many years of training and experience through clinics and USA Gymnastics regional and national congresses.
Gymnasts are the epitome of strength, balance, agility and athleticism. Many wish they could be like them, some loathe to look like them, several want to be strong like them and very few are actually them. It takes a severe amount of discipline, determination, mental strength, and a hard work ethic to be able to call yourself a gymnast and to become one of elite caliber.
The Skills team is the beginning team at ACPR. This team is for girls ages 4 and older (usually to about 8 or 9). Skills team members generally come from our recreational pre-school, the "Invitation Only' class or "Kindergarten and older" classes and are children that have shown the interest and the ability necessary to pursue gymnastics more seriously.
The Level 3 team is the beginning competitive team at ACPR. Girls on the Level 3 team are 6 years old and older and practice 3 days/week (9 hours/week). On this team the girls learn the routines and skills required to compete in the USA Gymnastics JO program at Level 3. Girls spend much of their time gaining strength, flexibility and learning the Level 3 compulsory skills and routines.
