Well over a decade ago, Phillip Santora had a vision to build an integrity-based business from the ground up. He wanted it to be a place that would make a difference in the communities across the Southeast. Built upon a team whose members shared guiding principles, Northstar was created as a civil engineering firm where every client and project would receive full attention, regardless of size or scope.
With more than 13 years of experience as president of Northstar Engineering, Phillip Santora has over 19 years of experience in design and project management, including construction project management in the field of civil engineering and a combination of 12 years of experience in surveying.
His surveying and design experience has included street improvements, water and sanitary sewer systems, storm water management facilities and grading, drainage and utility plans for numerous municipal improvement projects, commercial site developments and residential developments.Phillip is married to Tammie Santora and has two children, Cody and Gabrielle.

Northstar Engineering is a pleasure to work with and always very responsive. They look out for the developers and the owners - delivering high quality work within budget. On top of getting the project done in a timely manner, they are nice people. That said, we meet and/or exceed the standards of our industry in a very timely, cost-effective manner.
Start to finish, from site selection to opening day, your commercial project can be handled by Northstar. The full spectrum of services, including studies, surveys, approvals, construction plans, bidding and construction surveillance/administration, can be our responsibility. Northstar provided full civil engineering and surveying services for Dothan's Academy Sports + Outdoors.
Improving our quality of life with services that include, but are not limited to, Phase 1 studies, Army Corps of Engineers permitting, wetlands delineations and mitigations, landfill design and approvals, flood plain studies, erosion control plans, ADEM permits and compliance, NPDES permits and inspections, fuel containment system design and permitting as well as perc tests.

I have used Northstar on more than one occasion . Very professional and thorough. My family used them when our lake cottage suffered damage during Hurricane Michael and their report on the lack of true structural damage allowed us to rebuild instead of bulldozing it down. I use them for all my engineering needs as a real estate agent and highly recommend them.
