Proper planting techniques may mean the difference between a healthy, vigorous tree and one that performs poorly or dies. By observing the following recommendations, you will be giving your tree the best possible start in life. Plant the tree high. Dig the hole one or two inches less than the soil level in the container or the depth of the root ball.
Not all trees require staking. In fact, improper staking may seriously weaken, deform or injure a tree. A tree left unstaked, with its top allowed to move in the wind will develop a better root system, have greater trunk taper and thickness, and will have less wind resistance than a rigidly staked tree.
Newly planted trees require regular watering. Construct a basin around the tree, slightly larger than the root ball. Fill the basin once or twice a week during hot weather, less often if it is cool or it rains. After six weeks or so, roots will have grown into the soil surrounding the planting hole, and the tree will require less frequent watering.
An arborist can also eliminate the potential liability situation: a dangerously leaning tree, dead limbs, or the trip hazards of stumps and raised roots. Train Young Growth in a few minutes rather than wait until trees are large and time consuming to prune. Arborist who are members of the National Arborist Association, or the International Society of Arboriculture learn proper cuts and care methods for all types of trees.

Calvin and his team are amazing! Yesterday they showed up at 8 am and were done with the project same day. This project included several trees and a very tall palm. No problem for Cobb's. Cobb’s gave me the best price by far! Like one place quoted me $4,800 and he was nearly half that! He talked me through all the different options giving me multiple price break down scenarios. He was honest. He was very prompt, his workers were fast and cautious and cleaned up well! One worker literally ran from place to place to get work done. Also, Cobbs had all the right equipment. My husband tried to cut down this monster hedge for hours, but Cobbs did it in less than 30 minutes! Highly recommend!

Came when he said he would, did more than was expected without charge. And he's HONEST. We called him because of his tree knowledge (Member of National Arborist Association) but he also was able to clear our horribly overgrown and rocky property with his tractor. He chipped all the tree limbs (and we kept the chips for our mulching) and his men cleaned up by raking all the pieces up. I'm looking forward to spring rains because we will have a meadow again! instead of dead coyote bushes and piles of dead wood!

Cobbs tree service cut down and removed 3 large Pine trees in my backyard. In addition he ground 27 stumps. His price was way better than two other local competitors. His guys were fast, safe, and cleaned up the job site well. I would definitely recommend Cobbs tree service and if I do any future work he will be out at my property!
