Bonnie Kathrens started the agency in 1981 as a Farmers Insurance Agent. A few years later her husband Gary became an agent also. Together they built a successful family owned agency focused on treating their customers like family. In 2001 they began grooming their grandson Brandon to take over the agency when they retired.

Making sure your claim is handled quickly and fairly is our goal. If you are reporting a claim during regular business hours, please call our office at 419-354-3517. If you need to report a claim after business hours or on weekends, you can report the claim directly to the company at one of the numbers listed below.
A: If you have full coverage on at least one vehicle that you own and insure on your policy you do not need to buy their insurance. However, the contract that you sign when renting a vehicle is written by the rental car company so they add in many stipulations that most car insurance policies do not cover.

Kathrens Ins. Agency did an excellent job hooking me up with Progressive Ins. for my home and auto. When my car was recently totaled due to a 14 yr. old blowing the stop sign, Progressive took over after a week of the at fault ins. company dragging their feet. Progressive immediately got me a rental car, told me to find a different car and sent me a check for my totaled car within days. They said they would work to get the other two insurance agencies to pay them back and would even try to fight them for my $500 deductible. What a pleasant surprise to open my mail today to find my $500 check! Thanks
