I have been a member almost two months now, and I have gained so much self confidence and many many self defense skills! They do not make you feel worthless, unskilled, or unqualified to be there. They welcome you with open arms, are friendly, encouraging, and make you feel like you are the most amazing, talented person in the world every time you walk out of class.

Services
Campers bring $3 and we all have PIZZA! We provide two snacks during the day, usually a fruit and some type of cracker along with water to drink. Campers bring their guns, eye protection and darts. AND WE PLAY! Please make sure guns have names on them. And we found it easier to just count how many darts & then make sure they leave with that many.
Parents tell American Family Martial Arts this is the #1 thing they wish their kids had more of -CONFIDENCE. As kids ages 7-12 participate in this 4 week course, parents will see a steady rise in their child's self confidence. The kids just think they are having fun! These classes are being taught by Master Instructor Michael Tullier, a 6th degree black belt and a school owner for over 25 years.
Social media and the news report incidents of bullying among the youth on what seems like, an, unfortunately, consistent basis. Most of us have been scrolling through our Facebook news feed and have seen those videos of bullies picking on someone. As unfortunate as this is, it is a reality that will eventually touch every child in one manner or another.

We love AFMA. It’s been a wonderful experience for my son. He’s 10 years old & was diagnosed with ADHD last year. We declined to put him on medication at the time, because we wanted to try to find a natural option. We tried a few alternatives & weren’t having much luck until we found karate. In 6 months time, he has become more focused, motivated, responsible & organized, etc.. The progress that he’s made has been really remarkable! We’re just so happy that we found this place & we’re so thankful for the wonderful staff & instructors. Also, it’s a local, family run business, so we’re

Great place to learn, genuinely. It feels like a family there and progress can be made pretty quickly with the help of some amazing instructors, however I use They/Them pronouns, and apparently that was too difficult for the owner and main instructor to understand. Other staff and students respected it and met me with love and understanding, but I felt too anxious and frankly unsafe to return to any classes he taught. I miss going there, but I’d almost break down into an anxiety attack thinking about it after He said to my face that he would not use my pronouns simply because he didn’t understand

Today was my son's first day and I must say he had an amazing time! The environment was very pleasant; the kids were happy, focused and learning; and the instructors were patient, kind, and welcoming. We're looking forward to growing with American Family Martial Arts.

American Family Martial Arts has been great for our children, who have been members for several years now. It's about so much more than the basics of karate. The children learn a lot of life skills and get a lot of character development, and the teachers are excellent role models for the children. AFMA is the best!

My two brothers have been attending the martial arts weapons camp this week. They have repeatedly said, "This is the best camp we have ever been to!" My ten year old brother even said, "These people really know what they are doing!" It has been a terrific experience for them and we plan to take them back.

Fantastic family atmosphere! Kids come first and they teach to their age, which has been amazing. Our son will be in the adult classes after only attending 2 years in the child age group. He's gained confidence, coordination, and follows directions better in such a short time. We love the instructors, owners, and anyone we've worked with here shows that they care about their students. I'd recommend it to ANYone.

This is an excellent place to bring your children to learn more than just karate. They work at their age level to develop their thinking and motor skills. They also have a lot fun and make new friends. This is also a great place for adults to train and parents to train with and spend quality time with their children.
