Our first unit, the LOCKSHOP on wheels is a full service mobile unit that allows us to bring our services to you without your ever having to leave the comfort of your home or disrupt the flow of your business. By converting our 2007 Freightliner Sprinter to a full service locksmith shop, we are able to take care of all your lock and security needs.
D Locksmith's Mobile Automotive Unit offers fast professional service. The latest addition to our fleet is set up to mirror our original Sprinter, yet is set up strictly with the automotive customer in mind. We utilize the finest and most up to date key duplicating machines for all of your automotive keying needs.
When a locksmith arrives at your home or business to do scheduled work they will always arrive in one of our company trucks which are fully lettered and easily identifiable. Representatives of KD Locksmith will always be wearing clothing with our company logo and carry identification that they will be happy to show the customer upon request.

KD Locksmith (located next door to Croft Corners Fire Co. - Station 5 on Spackenkill Rd., Poughkeepsie) is very easy to find if you need keys cut.
Highly recommend him. He's done lockwork at my business and also, most recently, at my home. My front door works great now!

KD Locksmith did a very professional job making 3 sets of keys accurately. These were keys to a front entry door for my 90 year old mother in laws children who were out of town from Flushing, NY. I had the keys made and brought them down to Flushing NY and tested each set of keys. They all worked flawlessly and smoothly. Each key set included a Medeco key and a Schlage lock sets. Great job and I highly recommend KD Locksmith for any Lock work. They also have beautiful German Shepard dogs!

Had the worst experience ever couldn't even say service first they said they will come at 8 waited and called hr later telling me that they will come 10 after that i get a call that they will arrive at 11 and waited out side with my car until 12:15am and come to my car and checked couldn't fix it and left at 1:30 am with my car they have no responsibility and service mind to do a business I highly recommend other lock smith

I had a key made for my door at two other locations and it did not work.
I went to see the person at their location on route 9 (K&D)
He immediately knew what the problem was and would not take any money for me for the key he just cut.
He said, test it if it works just drop off $3.00.
Guess what it works I'm dropping of the $3.00.
Well worth it.

Need a locksmith? Keep looking. Was able to make a quick appointment. Guy came, seemed to have worked longer than was necessary & going back & forth to his vehicle. No, I'm not a locksmith, obviously, but, literally, my closest friend is a retired locksmith/instructor [living in FL, that's why I didn't call him]. Job? Install a dead bolt & new doorknob w/ lock. We pay & tip generously. Door doesn't lock. We have to manipulate how the door closes to get it to line up to use the deadbolt. Close it, pull it back a fraction, lift door slightly, lock.
