The Law Offices of Schurmer & Wood was originally founded in 1968 under the name of Linder, Schurmer, Drane & Bullis. The firm specialized in all types of personal injury and wrongful death actions on behalf of individual plaintiffs' and their families. The partnership experienced a number of changes over the years and went by the name Schurmer & Drane for many years.
Earl Schurmer is the managing partner of Schurmer & Wood and has over twenty years of litigation experience. Mr. Schurmer is admitted to practice law in all of the State and Federal Courts in California. He is also a past participant and member of the Santa Barbara and Ventura Inns of Court.
He has and continues to act as Judge Pro Tem at the Ventura and Santa Barbara Superior Courts as a settlement officer and has acted as an arbitrator in numerous cases throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.Mr. Schurmer started his plaintiff's-side personal injury career in 1993 when he was hired as an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Schurmer & Wood.

Lauren Wood is a partner at the Law Offices of Schurmer and Wood. She is a civil litigation attorney specializing in all types of plaintiffs' personal injury and wrongful death matters. Ms. Wood has both trial and arbitration experience, as well as extensive experience settling cases through mediation and other methods of alternative dispute resolution.
Nicolette Paullin is an associate attorney at The Law Offices of Schurmer and Wood, practicing in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice.
