Jomagrha Vineyards & Winery
Nestled in the vineyards a mile from Lake Michigan, at the landmark white barns, Jomagrha tasting room is home to the hand-crafted wines of wine grower John Sanford and second generation assistant Harry Sanford. You will taste wines from old-world French hybrid grape varieties, to new generation hybrids - American and French - as well as the traditional Bordeaux and Burgundy vinifera varieties.

Established in 1999, Jomagrha remains a small winery with steady and thoughtful growth. In the tasting room you will visit with John and Harry, who tend the Jomagrha vineyards and make the wine from all locally grown grapes.

We just left. It seems the person working was overwhelmed and extremely rude.

The problem was definitely not me, your (lost) customer. We absolutely understand staffing issues and we are extremely patient customers. We had just left Pere Marquette winery, where we had to wait our turn (about 20 minutes). We didn’t mind the wait at your place either, as we were walking around and looking at the roses and your grounds. As another car pulled into the lot, we stepped up to the ordering bar, and asked for a tasting menu. The reply we received was, “you people need to wait your turn, I’m

I was beyond happy with my visit! Every wine I tasted was wonderful, and my boyfriend felt the same way. The setting is gorgeous- including the old barn- and I can’t wait to go back. Don’t miss this hidden gem in Pentwater!

Tasting is set up outside, not the most convenient, but it works. Wine is well priced, service polite. We picked up a couple bottles of wine. Worth a stop if you are in the area. We drove 35 minutes out of the way to get there, probably would not do that again.

Delightful! Owner was engaging and made the stop enjoyable and I insightful. The wines were tasty, so we bought a bottle to share back at camp.

Great winery, good selection of dry red wines. Unique labels, and I love how they came up with the name of the winery. Some of the vineyards are right there, very pretty.

The cool little place is easy to miss, but you be sad if you do. Great wine, and a beautiful vineyard. Definitely worth the stop.

My family visited for a wine tasting and it was a little awkward. The man helping us was polite with an oddly delivered sense of humor and hovered during the entire tasting. Definitely a bit of a difference experience. We were pleased with their knowledge of their product and the taste of their wines.

Just opened our bottle of wine (gamay noir 2016) that we purchased when visiting this amazing place in July and it was just as good as the first visit! I believe Harry assisted us and was so knowledgable about the wines. You could truly tell he loved what he does. The grounds are beautiful. This definitely an off the beaten path vineyard that you should NOT miss if you are touring the western coast of Michigan. I cannot day enough good things. Can’t wait to go back!
