The Emerald Theatre first opened in 1921 as a grand movie palace and vaudeville live performance venue known as the Macomb Theatre. The 23,000-square-foot venue was designed by renowned theater architect, C. Howard Crane - also the creative mastermind behind Detroit's Orchestra Hall and Fox Theatre.

The Emerald Field theater is gorgeous, the extravagant details and beautiful moldings are gorgeous. It is an intimate venue with an accessible bar and seating that varies within the vent. Unfortunately, it is not the place to be in the winter. The event we went to last night was freezing, four layers of clothing and my winter coat wasn't enough to keep me warm.

What a wonderful evening at the extravaganza. Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce did an excellent job of locating entertainers and artists. The experience was interactive and truely exciting. The grand opening with the fraser drum group was a wonderful way to begin the evening. I have a short video however was unable to share.
