It's very cute in there but the people working there don't know how to make any of the drinks. The Italian soda was not even carbonated, it was literally just water with syrup in it. The coffee was not strong and very watered down. They only had 2 options of bagels and only 3 of each option. The atmosphere was awkward with no music. Also, they were out of many different items. The staff also didn't know what variety of foods they served or what was in some of the items. My friends and I were just overall not satisfied with the service or quality of the food and drinks.

We had breakfast here today, served by the very nice Ashley, it was delicious! I had the apple crisp waffle and my husband had the avocado toast with an egg on top. Their seasonal coffee was a Pumpkin caramel latte that was to die for! The other thing I want to point out, is the hours on Yelp are wrong. They open mon-thurs at 8 a.m. and on fri-sat at 9 a.m., not 11 a.m. I would've gone there sooner had it not been for that. I highly recommend this place!

Great tea, but won't allow me to order online and have it picked up by Fedex. They won't let me give them my money = poor customer service.
Edited to add: I was willing to pay for the tea over the phone and arrange to have FedEx pick it up myself, and was told "No, Fedex cannot come pick it up, you have to be here yourself" ??!?!??!!
Please, I just want some tea.

This restaurant has gone downhill since the switch in ownership. They have gotten rid of most of the few vegetarian options they used to have. Olean is already lacking in the vegetarian/vegan option so seeing my (used to be) favorite restaurant cut the few things I can eat made me extremely sad. They also got rid of their famous tea wall. They used to offer so many teas, now it's just a few. I ordered two scones with cream (the cream was one of my favorite things they used to offer) now it's just a flavorless whipped cream basically. The scones were good. I also got the artichoke sandwich

Our first foray into a restaurant in the Covid-19 world. Everyone was doing their best in this new way of doing things. We were the weakest link.
The staff we interacted with were all very friendly, helpful, and professional. The food was prepared perfectly. My wife had chicken souvlakia and I had a BLT.
We're here for the summer and will surely return.

Cozy tea shop smells yummy scones! Great food, very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful tea.Nice place, fine food & drink. This is a really cute place and the food was great. Really cute cafe in Olean! The ambiance is beautiful and it truly feels like I am in London. Their is a wide variety of teas to choose from which is perfect for tea lovers.. hot and cold. Their food is really good too. They have food for sweet lovers and food for those who want a proper lunch. I have been to this is place and have almost tried all of their teas and not one disappointed. My favorite on their menu are their waffles, especially the one with Nutella.

Union Tea has a great selection of teas and they make a mean grilled cheese. I'm not a huge fan of their pastries, but the breakfast menu is pretty good. Unfortunately, I stopped going to the cafe because EVERY time I came in to order or pickup, I'd catch the guy at the register scratching his junk and then handling food. It's gross. Get that checked, dude. The owners might want to put on a hygiene & food service refresher for their staff.

Lovely, hip restaurant/tea house. Huge selection of hot/cold tea and they can make any tea into a tea-latte. I ordered the lemon mascarpone waffle and while it wasn't very "lemony" (which I was really hoping for!) it was still yummy. I'd probably try something new next time since there was a ton of vegetarian/vegan options for me!!

The wife a wife and I had lunch here a week ago and it was really good. She had a bowl of the Crap bisque and a whole Roast Beef sandwich. I had a monster sized lunch in the Ploughman's Platter. Her bisque was very tasty with a hint of bite to it. It was very good. The Roast beef Sandwich was grilled on Sourdough with caramelized onions and an aioli. I had half the sandwich and it was awesome! The Ploughman's Platter was huge! It included s huge potion of cold, sliced Ham that was wonderful. A huge portion of cold sliced Roast Beef that I had to take home. It also included 4 Deviled Eggs

Union Tea is always a good choice! My go-to is the Windsor Salad. It's filling and for the most part, pretty healthy.
They always have a nice selection of scones, worth trying if you're looking for a small dessert or a pastry for breakfast.
They do have gluten free options and are knowledgeable about gluten allergies.

I had a great lunch here today, a cup of crab soup that was delicious (I'm from Maryland, so t was a pleasant surprise to find crab soup that I like in the Southern Tier!), and I had a petite Cobb Salad bowl, it was not small, done very well with fresh ingredients.
I came by myself in between running errands, used their WiFi to get work done on my laptop, and the service was very nice as was the atmosphere.
I highly recommend this place for a quick lunch, it looked like a great place to meet up with friends too!

Very Nicely done and decorated. I enjoyed admiring the creativity in the decor and interior design. Very nice addition to downtown Olean. There are many different varieties of tea. So many in fact I may never try them all.
Grab a seat at the bar facing union st. to enjoy people watching and vehicles navigation our roundabouts.
I must say... my experience I had found you should go relaxed and not in a hurry. I had to wait a bit for my sandwich and ended up having to leave after 20 minutes. Not a big deal things happen and it was time to get to work. :)
