Dr. Michael LeBourgeois was born and raised in River Ridge, LA; he attended Brother Martin High School and is an alum of LSU where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology-Human Movement Science. He furthered his education at Parker University located in Dallas, TX where he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2013.
Gulf Coast Sport & Spine treats all types of neuromusculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries. The areas most commonly affected and needing attention include the neck, mid back, lower back, shoulders, hips, and more.
These complaints are normally caused by repetitive motion injuries, prolonged sitting causing postural changes, and sports trauma; however, they can also be due to whiplash injuries, slip and falls, incorrect sleeping position, stress, and auto accidents.

Does your back feel stiff after a round of golf or a day at the driving range? Or worse yet, do you take aspirin before you play around in anticipation of the pain you know is coming? If so, you are on your way to hanging up your clubs someday, which will come sooner, rather than later. Did you know that the number one disability that forces players to retire from the pro tour is low back pain?
If you have a headache, you're not alone. 9 out of 10 Americans suffer from headaches. Some are occasional, some frequent, some are dull and throbbing, and some cause debilitating pain and nausea. Headaches have many causes, or "triggers." Ninety-five percent of headaches are primary headaches, such as tension, migraine, or cluster headaches.
Slip and fall injuries can happen to anyone, but especially the elderly and those who do manual labor. Taking precautions to avoid suffering from a slip and fall are necessary: watch your step and avoid stepping over any items in your path, take notice of "wet floor" signs, and use handrails when available.

I choose Gulf Coast Sport & Spine because Dr. LeBourgeois returned my call from the message that I left, seeking service. I'm so glad that I picked GCSS! The treatment has been effective and I'm feeling great. I felt comfortable to ask questions that Dr LeBourgeois answered patiently. The fact that he spoke in layman's terms was great as well lol, I understood everything he explained to me. I'm also a talker and didn't get the feeling that I was talking too much. The clinic is clean and peaceful. I began treatment at GCSS after a car accident. I was in pain, my body was out of balance and was very

I’ve had great relief and healing from my sessions with Dr. Mike. Miraculous restoration of comfort and mobility in areas of my body I believed to be permanently compromised. Dr. Mike is friendly, skilled with adjustments and massage; his knowledge of anatomy is vast with a unique gift to communicate complicated medical terms in ways that make sense to the patient. The office is impeccably clean with a peaceful atmosphere of privacy. I am very happy to have found Gulf Coast Sport and Spine. I’ve referred friends and colleagues to his practice and will continue to do so! Thank you!

After suffering for 3 years with a pinch nerve in my hip that went down to my toe, going to the chiropractor was my last resort. I can truly say it was the best decision I could have made for myself. Dr. LeBourgeois realigned my hips and decreased my pain significantly. He is very personable and has great bedside manners. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

My body was completely out of alignment after years of improper posture. In fact one hip was higher than the other, causing me back and leg pain, and an inability to walk distances without getting tired. After only a few treatments, I started noticing significant improvements, reducing pain and fatigue. Now I'm able to go every month or two to maintain my alignment. Thanks Dr. LeBourgeois; you're a lifesaver. You changed my life.

Initially, I saw Dr. LeBourgeois for a sudden and severe neck pain, I then continued to return for other issues ranging from back pain to shoulder, rib, hip, knee, ankle pain, etc. He was always able to help and took the time to listen, give the proper adjustment, and explain any exercises or stretches I should do at home. He became a part of my personal health care arsenal. I was sad to hear he was moving back to Louisiana, but I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great, caring chiropractor.
