Solving the world's problems, one sip at a time; Harbor Ridge Winery is just the place to go to live happily ever after, every now and then. Nestled in the charm and beauty of Door County's Egg Harbor, we are pleased to be part of the unique culture on this enchanting peninsula. Services
Owning a winery had always been a dream of the new owners; Their love for wine and people are a perfect fit! Harbor Ridge Winery was established in 2010. Although von Stiehl had never been involved financially with Harbor Ridge, to this day they still bottle our wines in Algoma, WI. At the same time, we planted a vineyard alongside our building.
Do you love Harbor Ridge premium oak aged wines? Become a member of the HRW Barrel Club and receive access to reserve wines or newly released limited production wines. Anticipate three shipments of three specially selected wines each year with a flat shipping and packaging fee of $15.00.

If you choose, you may double your shipment (two each, totaling six bottles) and receive a 5% discount and flat shipping and packaging fee of $20.00 (flat shipping fee excludes Alaska and Hawaii). You have the option to pick up the wine at Harbor Ridge Winery. Pick up orders will be charged at time of release.
Harbor Ridge Winery's Vineyard is part of the Wisconsin Ledge AVA (American Viticultural Area) which covers Northeastern Wisconsin along the Niagara Escarpment. Because of our shorter growing season and severe winters, many well known varietals are unable to survive in this AVA.

Instead, an increasing number of Cold Climate Grapes - or Hybrids are and have been developed by the University of Minnesota and growing in popularity here in the Upper Midwest. In 2010, we exclusively chose to plant the Marquette Grape. A robust varietal, the Marquette is a medium bodied hybrid red grape developed to grow in a cold climate.
As soon as you step inside our friendly log cabin winery, you'll understand why our motto is "Solving the World's Problems One Sip at a Time." Yes, we take our wines seriously, but we also believe wine tasting can be both educational AND fun. Check out our delicious wines and merchandise! Our ever-growing portfolio of wonderful wines that range from dry, oak-barreled aged to sweet and fruity, offers something for every palate.
Love people, Love wine? Harbor Ridge Winery is looking for a few good people to work at the tasting bar. Help our customers find wine that they enjoy in a warm and fun atmosphere. We will train. Duties include wine tasting, light stock work and cleaning, cash register and excellent customer service.

We were looking for a new experience while in DC and the two people working were so friendly and kind. They made sure to explain all of the wines we were tasting and all of the cool indoor and outdoor (dome) seating. We will definitely be coming back again next year

This is in my top 5 wineries in Door County. Little trinkets like these, great tasting wine and friendly staff are all factors for that statement. The upstairs seating is a great stop to take in the full atmosphere here.

We usually LOVE our experience here. But now it seems like they are just out to make money with their wine tasting. It use it be fun and relaxing plus. Before ppl tasted and bought a few bottles, now 1 or 2 maybe taste and A bottle maybe bought.

Outdoor live music and heaters seem to be the big draw here. A flight of fixe wines for $10 is their wine tasting. Not a large variety for this price but it was ok. Staff wasn't very welcoming and it felt like they needed a break or something. Outdoor heaters not very powerful. Wines were average and a little pricey in comparison to what I've seen this year.

Cheese haus was high spirits and great service. Wine house was pretty crabby. I'm sure everybody is short handed, but thank you and simple courtesies don't take much.

The staff was friendly, the venue was nice, and the pours for the tasting flight were generous. I did the premium tasting, and was very disappointed by the wines, the desert wine was good, but two of the wines I got were so unpleasant I dumped them, and I never dump wines. Made me extra sad as the second tasting was a Zinfandel one of my favorite varietals, but the wine just wasn’t drinkable. That said they have over 20 wines, so I could have just picked their worst.

I've been to wineries all over the word I using Napa Valley and Harbor Ridge is in my top 10 favorites of all time. I even have a tee-shirt that says "Carmen's Last Dance" that I got 4 years ago from here that celebrates their most popular seller. Need a case of just that!

It's lovely to just sit outside and experience very generous tasting pours on their patio with some cheese and crackers purchased from the store directly in back of the winery.

Still one of my favorites!

Decided to come to this winery because it was open later than the other local ones by an hour so it was convenient. The woman pouring wines was friendly and helpful with recommendations. We arrived just after 515 and overheard that we were the last tasting group of the day (open until 6pm). We spent nearly $100 all together and really enjoyed our different wines. We purchased a variety of flights for five people as well as cheese from a neighboring shop. While I would've given 4 or 5 stars, unfortunately the experience was a bit gruff. I had my certified animal with me and he made no noise

This was not a pleasant wine tasting. When we entered we were brought over to an area. Instead of being welcomed we were asked if we had been here before. Let's just assume that we are visitors and we haven't been. Let us know what's going on and what to expect, where to go, etc. Instead we were shown the sign with four different flights to chose. They pour the wine in plastic cups and put them on a numbered plate. If you want to know anything more than the name of the wine, this is not the place for you. Then we take our cups on the plate out to a freezing cold tent with lots of

First of all , we are from California, and could be very spoiled with the Napa selection we have. Having said that , I felt like I was cough syrup tasting and had to throw them all away. I am in search of a niche wine I can take back to Cali. Otherwise , all you viewers - come to Cali

Their wines are sub par. Nothing special. We're door county frequents. We stop there most times and they use to do 5 samples for 5 dollars which was good. Now they do wine flights 4 samples for 10 dollars- not so good of a deal... We won't be stopping back anytime soon. The only reason they get 3 stars is because the owner was very nice they put forth an effort to make it COVID safe

THE OWNER MADE MY DAUGHTER CRY. She accused my 10 year old daughter of shoplifting a wine topper. My wife emptied my daughter's pockets to prove she didn't but the owner didn't back down insisting "I know what I saw!" Then the owner said my daughter probably handed it off to me in the parking lot when I was taking my son out to the car.

They are not affiliated with the cheese shop next store which is amazing! We will continue to stop in for cheese ever time we come up but will never stop in the neighboring wine shop.

Very busy place. We stopped for a tasting after a short hike at cave point. Our 'server' was great and friendly. You can pick from 2 tasting options. They had live music out in front. There were lot of bachelorette parties in the mix.

Visited for the first time in mid august. Fun girls trip and did a wine tasting a day. We enjoyed the tastings but I have to say we weren't blown away by the wine at any of the tastings. All the wine I liked was 40 or more from grapes imported from California. Next time we are just bringing our own wine.

I did buy one bottle here and they suggested we check out the cheese place next door. We walked over with a little wine buz and left with 4-5 things of cheese. it was fun.

This is #3 of our winery visits while in Wisconsin. This one may be our favorite as it not only had great wine, but also very cool ambiance. Very home feeling with great employees helping us through our tastings and offering a lot of info. I didn't get the girls name but she's was super cool. Just moved here from California and was very nice. She even went outside and gave our friends dog water while they're waiting for us on the patio.

We tried a few different cab's a merlot and a zin. We enjoyed it all.

They also have a pretty big gift shop attached that has a lot

Went in for a tasting and we left with 6 bottles.

Cherry-osity, their Rosè, two Rows make a white. We basically got doubles of it all. Pretty reasonable prices.

We also stopped into the cheese master's shop. Tried what was on display and bought two kinds of cheeses. One we ate with a bottle on the patio and another to take home.

Staff was super nice and knowledgeable.
