Port Townsend School Of Massage
If you're ready to use your gifts to their fullest potential and move into a career that brings you deep, spiritual rewards. Give us a call to find out more about a career in massage and how we can help you get there! Anatomy and Kinesiology always fascinated me as well as the thought of being my own boss and creating my own work schedule.

However, I did not go to massage school after high school. It took me almost 10 years to realize that I needed to make a change and study something that I was really passionate about and could have a positive impact in people's lives. That is when I decided I would jump and follow my dream of being a massage therapist.

Teaching embodied anatomy and physiology is my life. I have taught APP for the Port Townsend School of Massage for 8 years in addition to teaching kinesiology and continuing education workshops. I love finding new ways to support student learning with engaging experiences. I hold a masters degree in education in addition to my nursing and humanities degrees.

This school has been the most positive and incredible experience in education that I have ever had. I appreciate that they cultivate a very positive and caring environment. The instructors have all been wonderful and very supportive. If you are even possibly considering a career in massage you definitely want to consider PTSM!! I can't recommend this school highly enough.

Best life choice ever. Believe the reviews, the staff here provide world class instruction. I felt very prepared when I graduated 12/2015. It was a wonderful experience in a supportive setting. Supportive is an understatement. The staff there are there because its who they are. Those are the people to learn from. Its nearly 2 years now since my Graduation, the School has been just as delightful in its support of its Graduates as its students....and the Masssage Profession.

Staff was great. tutoring was the best I have had . I have been in the medical field now for over 14 years so anatomy and pathology were no issue for me.
PLEASE take into account your honest understanding of these classes before entering into something that will only dig you deeper into a bit of trouble playing the catch up game.
this school was great! the only thing I would say to anyone , this coming from a Whidbey island girl. (and this is nothing bad against the school it self) be aware of what time of year you are going!!!! taking the ferry ... having it shut down because of high winds

I attended this school in 2008. The education is fantastic and above par. I started my practice immediately after graduation and it has been thriving since. I have a fulfilling and successful career, and I credit much of that to my education at PTSM.
I read the review written by Whitney, and can't help but disagree on all accounts. I have no idea what he spent all that 20k on, his reference to LMP vs. LMT is something he obviously has a misunderstanding about, and his quotes of staff at the school are silly at best.
If you truly have a love for the massage profession, and want to be an upstanding

I look forward to teaching in the PTSM continuing education program every other year. It is a small, private school with great heart.

I recently graduated (May 2014) from PTSM and loved it! The teachers were wonderful, the curriculum fantastic, and the whole overall organization and set up was well put together. They overlap the classes in a way that helps you see how its all connected. You get hands on experience while learning about the body and all its systems. I highly recommend this school to anyone that is serious about massage.

I attended and graduated this school in 2014. The staff was great! Everyone has a different way of learning, and they really try their best to attend to each students needs. I also have a bit of anxiety and talking in front of the class was not easy for me, but Pam as well as my wonderful classmates were there by my side to help me through it. Looking back now, I realize how life changing this experience was. I met life long friends. Thank you everyone at PTSM.

Best massage school around. You learn from a variety of instructors, with real world experience. They won't take anyone who walks through the door, only those they feel have the maturity and desire to succeed. The classes are not easy, but you finish knowing that you have a quality education with realistic expectations and goals for your career path.
