Arlington Hardware and Lumber, Inc. was established in 1903, the same year Arlington became a "city". The Gray family opened the store with a goal of trying to provide nearly everything needed by the farming and logging families coming to the area to put down their roots. From mattresses to cook stoves with tools, barbed wire and hunting supplies thrown in for good measure, the store became a success.
In fact it was said many times that if you could not find "it" at Arlington Hardware you probably didn't really need it anywhere. Several generations of the Gray family operated the business until early 1983 when the Jones family came on the scene. Taylor, a second generation member of the Jones family, is the current managing partner.

Came in looking for mis-tint paint on the cheap and found a gallon I thought might work. No one was in the paint area, but Bev, an off duty employee noticed me waiting for assistance and said she was happy to help. She answered my questions, shook my paint, and even added a couple of ounces of color to make it perfect! All because she wanted to be of service. What a great employee! I hope the owners know what they have in Ms. Bev!

I can't say enough about this store! It's so cute and has the cutest decor and everything you can imagine to make a house nice, welcoming and beautiful. The Ladies are nice enough, some more than others, but I have piercings and tattoos and that tends to turn off ladies of their "social stature". Although I may or may not be judged when I'm shopping, I don't care one bit, and I'll continue to throughly enjoy myself whenever I'm meandering the isles of cute kitchen gadgets and dishes!

Lots of beautiful things!!! Great place to Christmas Shop, and get decorations. Beautiful clothes too! They have just about everything you can think of!!! I love it there! Everything in the store today was 20% off, but even with the discount they are extremely expensive! Many of the items in the store you can get much, much cheaper at HL.
None of the staff wore masks and neither did 99% of the customers! The mask mandate is not followed or enforced in anyway shape or form. The store was extremely crowded with people.

Arlington hardware deserves 100 stars!! This is beyond a hardware store. I love love love this place! Love the local products, the clothes, customer service, free popcorn lol and just their store is amazing! They sell everything from a flashlight to grills to hone decor. You could spend hours here I swear the vibe is just so good! Better then every other store around!

Located in beautiful downtown Arlington, this is the go to for all your needs. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The only hardware store I’ve found that has their own clothing line. Their clothing section offers many options for every style. With a large selection of hoodies, they can customize the graphics for you! Highly recommend them for all your home maintenance, decor, hunting and fishing and clothing needs!
