DALA dancers will be performing at the Annual Trick or Treat on Mainstreet Event from 4:30-4:45 pm. Come out and support the dancers as we celebrate Halloween! Some of our DALA Dancers will be performing so please come out and support them. Tickets are available at the door for $15 general admission and $10 for students and seniors.

We look forward to seeing you there! We are so excited to present our next chapter in DALA's original Los Alamos historic Ballet series! The escape from the Land of Sweets in Act I is action packed with your favorite classic characters including Oppenheimer and the Sugar Plum Fairies (yes plural, you'll have to come see it to understand).
Services
Annually, DALA participates in the Homecoming Parade by entering a float that is typically Nutcracker inspired. All dancers are invited to take part in the parade. There is no cost for participation and costumes are provided by DALA. The last Friday of October in Los Alamos is Halloweekend.

To celebrate Halloween, the city of Los Alamos hosts Trick or Treat on Mainstreet, an opportunity for local businesses to hand out candy to the children of Los Alamos.During this event, DALA performs a Halloween inspired dance downtown in the street. Dancers in the upper levels are invited to perform in this work and there is no cost for participation.
For ages 2-9, we offer classes in Dance Discovery, Pre-Ballet, Ballet 1 & 2, Beginning Modern, and Beginning Lyrical Jazz. Our Classical Ballet Program utilizes Vaganova, Cecchetti and RAD Ballet techniques to develop a safe and structured syllabus. Classes progress from Beginning to Pre-Professional levels.
The Classical Ballet Program at Dance Arts Los Alamos is a progressive program that challenges dancers with the fundamentals of the Vaganova, Cecchetti, and RAD Techniques of Classical Ballet. Students are expected to master essential technique per level in order to progress to the next level up.

Our instructors incorporate exercises that foster creative leadership, problem solving, teamwork, dexterity, flexibility, artistic expression, and so much more.At DALA, levels are based on ability and strength; age may be used as a guide when ability and strength are in question. This is the first level of Classical Ballet, in which the students begin learning basic terminology, positions and theory.
Modern involves a variety of techniques that can be utilized to investigate free movement through space. It encompasses creative problem solving while leading the dancers through exercises that challenge time, gravity and space. This is a great secondary discipline to improve the fundamentals of Classical Ballet.
