Because it works! Acupuncture is a safe, drug-free, simple approach to helping the body heal itself. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine were the only form of medicine used in China for several thousand years before it spread to the United States. During its development, the practitioner used trial, error and observation to determine what worked best.
Jerusha D. Stephens, LAc, FABORM is the first licensed acupuncturist in Mississippi dedicated to treating infertility and men's and women's reproductive health. Jerusha has provided many couples with natural ways to increase fertility and ultimately achieve their dream of conceiving and having a healthy baby.

Having dealt with nerve damage pain for multiple years and running out of options. I turned to Pamela Rhoades at Sprouted Heart Acupuncture. While apprehensive and somewhat doubtful I was and continue to be very pleased not only with the unexpected results but the overall quality of service. The service being received is both thorough and professional. I fully realize the challenges of nerve pain and with modern medicine failing me at every turn, it took an ancient technique practiced by a skilled person to provide me relief. A skeptic turned supporter. I would never have imagined.

During my 5th and final attempt at IVF, a friend recommend Jerusha. I didn’t know acupuncture helped with fertility but was willing to give it a try since we were not getting pregnant. Jerusha was kind, sweet, knowledgeable and supportive during my process. I know it is because of acupuncture that I finally got pregnant!! Without Jerusha, I wouldn’t have a sweet baby girl today!

A year ago, I was suffering with nerve damage to my right arm and hand. Despite physical therapy treatment which was very helpful, I did not get relief from the burning pain. Knowing very little about acupuncture, I decided to give it a try. The neurologist told me that he doubted it would help. During the first treatment I had relief from the pain in my arm and hand for the first time since the injury. Pam Rhoades is extremely knowledgeable and kind. I have continued to receive treatments and each time I see a little more progress. I have recommended Pam at Sprouted Heart to many others throughout

I started seeing Jerusha when my husband and I were trying to conceive. I had come off birth control several months prior to seeing her and things were taking time to get regulated. My OB recommended acupuncture to see if it might help get things sorted out. After several months of acupuncture and herbal supplements, things were more regulated and we were pregnant. I continued to see Jerusha throughout my pregnancy to help manage some of the symptoms of pregnancy- nausea, hip and back pain, sinus congestion. Words cannot express how much I love Jerusha. My OB recommended her for fertility help. She was not only so knowledgeable of wellness and acupuncture for fertility, but I also felt like she was so relatable even though our journeys have been different. She became a sweet friend. I recommend her to anyone dealing with infertility especially if you are going to take the leap and do IVF. Not all doctors are supportive of acupuncture, but I think it definitely helps. We have a healthy baby now and I know Jerusha played a big part.

Sprouted Heart was such a blessing during my intense third round of IVF treatment. I did not do acupuncture during my first two rounds of IVF, and both of those rounds were unsuccessful. My RE recommended Sprouted Heart for acupuncture while stimming and preparing for embryo transfer. I am now expecting a sweet baby boy and attribute much of that success to Sprouted Heart! My egg quality improved greatly, and we have more embryos on ice for the first time. Jerusha is so thoughtful and caring, and I felt at ease each time I had acupuncture.
