Services
At Eastgate and Parkway Funeral & Cremation Service, we know that when a family experiences a loss, there are many decisions to be made. It is very important that when you visit with anyone about any aspect of funeral service, that the person be licensed and equipped to present all important information needed.
Since Eastgate Funeral Service was founded in 1981 by Chuck Eastgate, they have had a tradition of providing personalized care to each family they serve. Located on the corner of Twenty-Third Street and Divide Avenue in Bismarck, Eastgate Funeral Service has undergone two major building expansions, one in 1989 and one in 1998.
Funerals provide surviving family members and friends a caring, supportive environment in which to recognize the death of a loved one and to share thoughts and feelings about that person. Funerals are the first step in the healing process. It is possible to have a full funeral service even for those choosing cremation.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

I will always trust Eastgate to do what I need and want for a loved one.
However, do not trust the "send flowers" link listed after an obit. It goes through a company called Legacy.com. My flowers were not sent timely nor were they close to what I wanted or thought I ordered. You could not tell which local florist sent them. If I could send a picture here I certainly would. Plus the flowers that did arrive were silk and not real. Although the greens were.. Huge disappointment! I was not notified of the unavailability of my flowers until 2 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon. A basket did arrive on Monday

My mother passed away on Halloween from Covid. We went to Eastgate. I must say I was happy with them up until the time of service. It was not up to par to say the least. We were told to send pictures so there would be a slideshow displayed on a projector/TV during her service. We sent well over 50 pictures. For her service and the memorial program. The TV was off during the entire service. No pictures of her were near her urn whatsoever. The only picture of her was outside the service room. So during the srvice no pictures to look at. My daughter and I took our time getting these photos together
