The goal of a chiropractic adjustment is to correct the spinal subluxations detected during the examination. To do that, Dr. Upston applies pressure to the bone and unlocks it from its improper position. The bone will then be free to align itself correctly. Some people think that a chiropractor forces a vertebra back into its proper place, but only the individual's own body knows certainly where the proper place for each bone is.
Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression (NSSD) is a non-invasive treatment to alleviate symptoms of neck pain, back pain, and sciatica. It is used to treat patients who have bulging or herniated discs, degenerative disc disease and facet syndrome. NSSD produces negative pressure within the spine, which works to help reposition bulging discs and take pressure off pinched nerves.

The best Chiropractic office I have been.... I have gone this office for over a year and will continue visiting Upston's Chiropractic Wellness Center....
First for all, they treat you with professional manner of true health care provider rather than sales force. Secondly, they provide massage service alone with adjustment for best results. Thirdly, they follow the insurance policy closely and explain to the patient clearly so that you never have to worry you might have surprise bill.

My first visit to Dr. Upston was a positive one !
He seemed knowledgeable and easy to speak to.
He had a plan of attack in the end, plus the adjustments I got made me feel better too when I left, I look forward to future visits and his advice to improve my active lifestyle.

Another problem solved by the good 'ol Doc. I bought a new bed with a Reverie 9T Base and was lifting my head up instead of using books under the head post now but that really hurt my neck. Last night we slept flat and was best night sleep. I am now looking to put the whole unit at a slight incline. Not only does the Doc fix you, he can help you identify the cause. Love this Doc!!

Dr Blake is an excellent chiropractor. At my first visit, I really appreciated the time he took to understand my health. I continue to see him on a regular basis and feel great. I was in excruciating pain after throwing my back out earlier today only one hour before Upston Chiropractor Wellness Center closed and they were so nice and helpful getting me in before the end of the day. Amazing service with the most caring people to work with. Dr. Upston also was able to help straighten my back and was very kind. Great service all around, I would definitely recommend to anyone in Kalamazoo.

Dr. Upston has been nothing short of amazing! I have been visiting Dr. Blake for a few years now and from day one he has impressed me. The time he spends on the initial review and explaining what is going on will really show how much he cares. Every visit has been incredible. I am very active with marathons, triathlons, and soccer and Dr has been vital to my health and well being. Dr. Upston is so caring and professional! It is very refreshing in a world that just wants to get you in and out with out listening to you concerns or explaining treatments! Dr. Upston took me step by step through my treatment to let me know why he was doing a certain adjustment and how it would make me feel better!
