It's an amazing place to be if you are ok to be without cell service or Wi-Fi. As a reward you get to see a sunrise on the slopes of Meeker and Longs peak. And probably for the first time hear yourself thinking. I visited this place twice and it seems that most guests here are returning customers as myself.

I had my wedding here back in September. The venue itself is GORGEOUS and was the only saving grace to it being terrible. Long story short don't have your wedding here. If you do - DON'T stay onsite and DON'T eat their food. Reasons to stay away are as follows: #1 they are highly unorganized. I planned my wedding from a different state and response times were terrible and answers changed constantly. There were many last-minute things told to us that we were not prepared for. #2 when we arrived to check in (at 3pm) the night before our wedding, our room wasnt ready and we had to wait for someone

"Over promised and under delivered"
I was there for a friend's wedding recently and everything we were told was incorrect. The rooms weren't ready when we arrived, there was no coffee or breakfast to be found, the food for the wedding was late and way undercooked (not to mention nowhere near the same quality we had when we tested the menus months prior), the employees seemed uninterested and untrained for the tasks at hand, and the wedding room rates were not honored unless called out. The only redeeming quality of this place was the view and the beautiful couple that we celebrated. I would not

Book with extreme caution! Staff is incredibly incompetent. Don't expect to know if you've actually booked after calling them, you will be filled with mystery until you drive up. The kicker is they will fleece you with extra charges and lie to you when you ask about them. You will be better off staying somewhere else.

Our room was pretty below average. The shower curtain had mold on it, the bed sheets had a stain, and the toilet was either stained or dirty. The good things going for them were the views and the bed was comfortable.
Also, the grounds were pretty poorly maintained, the roads were full of holes. Not to mention we paid about $250 for the night due to weddings going on.

We were surrounded by beauty and views to die for. We have a couple suggestions we would put some modern ammenties these rooms other than a coffee maker. The place actually has no TVs n very sketchy wifi, these are things people expect in accommodations.you simply cannot spend all nite in the mountains. The staff was helpful n friendly perhaps you should review these things n address these simple concerns, but if ur looking to unplug this is ur place. Beauitful property though.

Beautiful lodge and private grounds outside of RMNP and Estes Park. The private trails leading up to Twin Sisters and the National Forest are stunning, full of wildflowers and various other flora not seen in the more trafficked, lower elevations. The main lodge rooms are well-equipped and comfortable with a balcony to rest and enjoy the views upon. The food and service at Dao House was top notch, clean, and a true sense of being cared for. Will return! Highly recommend for a getaway - the peace settles your mind.

One of my favorite places to vacation. Very relaxing and go at your own pace vibe. WiFi was fine in the lobby. I honestly like to unplug and no be able to be reached while I'm my room. The views are incredible. Not a far drive to estates park for food. We skipped the breakfast and went into town instead. Staff is great here. There is no air conditioning but it gets cool like 50-60s at night so is very comfortable for me. And we were out adventuring on the mountain s during the day. It's a great location for things to do. Also the lobby has fresh water and hot tea 24 hours.

We loved it here. Simple rooms with balcony and awesome view into the mountains. No TV or ac. But we didn't need it even not in August.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
I just wished there would be more help about trails instead of a self drawn map. We got a bit lost at the beginning of our hike.
Other than that rustic place and as we wanted.
