Our job is to guide you through the world of health insurance and employee benefits, but we are not strolling through Disneyland. My job is to guide you through the world of health insurance and employee benefits; but we are not strolling through Disneyland. I love what I do but I understand the challenges in my industry and how difficult it can be.

It involves people's health and money and it is always complicated, expensive and frequently frustrating. We are in the middle of three massive forces; rising health care costs, an aging population, and government regulations and it has created the perfect storm which can leave people feeling like a leaf on the ocean.

While we help many different people and types of organizations, central to our mission is working with closely held or owner-operated businesses with their employee benefit needs. Everything begins from there. By really knowing our clients and the challenges they face we are able to build the kind of long-term relationships that maximize our ability to deliver value beyond what the typical agency can provide.
While each of us has a different specialty we always work as a team. Our commitment is to help guide you through the maze that is employee benefits and provide you with the very highest level of advice and service while doing so. Experience has taught us that by taking a team approach we can accomplish more than working alone.
At John Helms and Associates we have our own unique perspective on the health insurance industry and try to share that with our clients in the form of newsletters and periodic public events. Our work is original and something you will not find it anywhere else. Whatever we do, we always try to add value and do it with your interests at heart, and sometimes with a little panache.
The trend for health insurance agencies is to cut back on their staff and run lean rather than rich. The Medical Loss Ratio in the ACA put severe pressure on revenues tempting agents to outsource or cut service altogether. Many also limited the scope of their practice to the most profitable segments of the market becoming niche players.
