Joe Porche is a licensed physician assistant with many years of orthopedic experience working in a busy practice even before joining Dr. Waring at The Pain Intervention Center. The Pain Intervention Center provides advanced, cost-effective interventional spine pain management in a state-of-the-art private facility, conveniently located in Old Metairie, just minutes from downtown New Orleans. Thousands of patients visit the Pain Intervention Center every year suffering from neck and back pain, degenerative joint conditions, whiplash, and even painful job-related injuries.
The intervertebral disks are the cushions that sit between the vertebrae of the spine. They are often a source of spinal pain. Your doctor may have ordered discography to help determine which if any of your disks are causing your low back or neck pain. Generally, discography is a diagnostic tool and not for spine pain therapy.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a concentrated blood sample that contains high levels of platelets, a critical component of the wound healing process. Platelets contain growth factors that are responsible for stimulating tissue generation and repair. Growth factors derived from platelets are responsible for soft tissue repair, bone regeneration, development of new blood vessels, and stimulation of the wound healing process.
For over 15 years Dr. Patrick Waring has been regarded as an expert in the field of precision spine related pain management, successfully diagnosing and treating chronic pain, and improving the quality of life for thousands of injured patients. The staff at the Pain Intervention Center works quickly to schedule injured patients, helping them to avoid delays and the intimidation of big hospitals.

I am the most fortunate physician. I am able to do what I love to do in the best interventional pain office and facility in the country with the greatest staff any doctor could imagine. Our patients continue to inspire us as we work together to obtain meaningful pain relief without the use of addictive pain medications.

Dr. Waring and the entire staff of The Pain Intervention Center are top notch. I’ve never felt such caring and concern from any other office I’ve visited. I had a cervical Radiofrequency (RF) and although I knew the risk of it not working I have gotten unbelievable relief from the horrible headaches I was experiencing. I appreciate each of you and your caring nature.

This place and it's employees are the absolute best I have ever experienced. They are kind and loving, knowledgeable and skilled, professional yet personable, hospitable and warm. I thank Dr. Patrick Waring, Judy Barrios, Joe Porche, and Mrs. Natasha for their great work each and every time I was there. Pain can put you in a dark hopeless place but this establishment is like a little piece of heaven.
