The Stereo Shoppe has been serving the Southwest and Central Idaho since 1976. For any business, that is saying something. Nearly 40 years ago, the 'shoppe' on Fairview was the place for audio enthusiasts to find the highest quality audio reproduction available. It was the place where the experience happened - music played on some of the finest audio equipment in the world.

Nothing in the audio industry has changed as dramatically as how we listen to music. When the Stereo Shoppe first opened its doors in 1976 we thought the epitome of enjoyment was sitting down in front of a great stereo system. We were right of course. I spent the time to meet with Chris to go over the requirements for our new home we are building. I spent a couple hours with him and also one of the owners of the company going over what we need done. Our project is a large project with 8 tv's to install, 5 wireless access points, a home theater room to build out including all speakers and equipment, home automation system (control4), automatic window shades, speakers throughout the home and much more. My point is our project is not small and you would think they would be interested in helping us out but I have now been waiting for about

Hands down best service in the Valley! Nate and his team did a great job installing speakers for my team at our job site. I received positive feedback from them and morale was noticeably improved. Due to this I trusted Nate to come to my home and setup my TV/Sound bar so the wires would not show on the wall. Great job guys!

I was directed there by a friend who recommended them for the instillation of my TV. I also wanted a sound bar. So after the initial consultation and some forthright advice about TV's and the sound system they let me know it would be after Christmas and beyond before they could get to the job. That's understandable and they finally came and put it in. There was little instruction and away they went. A few months later I called and ask if someone could come by and show me a few things on how the system works as

Thoughtful, quality advice and service. If you are looking for advice on what components (brand, cost, quality, features, etc) to buy and how to set up a home system for music or theater, these are great guys to go to. Additionally, they back up their products. I had an issue w/ my new receiver and they made it right with the manufacturer and provided a loaner in the mean time. Really good customer service. Not the cheapest, but certainly worth the money when it comes their expertise and value.

My wife and I were having issues with our right speaker cutting out. My wife and I assumed our thirty year old (plus) receiver had bitten the dust. We had gotten it from the original owner back in the late seventies or early eighties.
We went through the hassle of disconnecting it from our system and took it to the Stereo Shop to see if it could be salvaged.
I wish I had written the young man's name down who helped us. He tested the receiver and it worked fine. We talked and looked for solutions and he said we should try a new connector. We bought one, desperately hoping it would work

Frustrated? Over the top. I realize that the system that was installed only cost $8k (ten years ago) but trying to get assistance thereafter has been unbelievably painful. The equipment is topnotch and the technicians are solid but trying to schedule service is beyond frustrating. Maybe making service calls whereby we are only spending $1k is not worthwhile.

The Stereo Shoppe is simply a first rate organization. I needed to do a complete upgrade of the entertainment media at my residence which involved four rooms and the patio. The very competent personnel worked with me from selection at my price points to installation and follow-up. The installers were always on time and very professional. The follow-up has also been fantastic which included home visitation to answer any questions regarding using the equipment to making sure all systems were working at optimal levels. The experience has been rewarding and I will continue to seek their services in

Great selection of stereo equipment from a beginners to enthusiasts budget with fantastic customer service - I try to stop here every time I'm coming through Boise just to browse. However, no open Saturday hours is a real bummer as we didn't know until we arrived today.
To be fair they do Saturdays by appointment but we just wanted to browse. Not right to ask someone to drive out when we have no intention of purchasing.

The Stereo Shoppe just got done installing a 55" Sunbright TV and speakers on my patio and running it to my bonus room where they installed a 75" TV and Atmos system, they also moved my current 65" from the bonus room to the living room and the 55" from the living room to the bedroom and hung all the TV's on the walls. Brad was the salesman and Shawn ran a team of 4 to install everything over a day and a half. I was very happy with the process and would recommend them, I've had great luck with the big box stores but when you are ready to step up your theater room you really need to use The Stereo

I have been doing business with the Stereo Shoppe for nearly 3 decades. They were involved in the construction of my home, remodeling, car audio, and numerous consumer products. They represented high quality products and exceptional customer service. That's no longer the case. They changed ownership a few years ago, and everything has changed.
