Things went fast and smoothly until closing. We got the deal closed on time. Overall. it was a good experience.
However, post closing, FHM does not accept online payment. That being said, before the loan being sold to some investors, i.e. a new loan servicer, borrowers have to mail checks or go with online wire transfer. Both will have additional monthly cost. Also, there is no convenient way to check the payment status, and borrowers would need to keep asking their loan officer.

I had a great experience with First Heritage. My Realtor Mrs. Meredith was GREAT. She stayed in contact with me on a daily basis. She informed me about First Heritage. Meredith put me in contact with Hunter Boyd, and he made sure that all paperwork for my loan was accurate and on time for closing. Sherry Riano entire team did an awesome job helping me through the process of closing. I really LOVE all the videos letting me know what to expect before, during, and after each phase of the loan process. I will definitely be using First Heritage again in the near future. Real estate financials can seem dry and complicated. Sherry's team was part of an effort by many professionals to sell our old home and buy our new one. We were very pleased with our mortgage experience with DNJ Gateway. We were referred to DNJ by our builder's agent so I was a bit concerned about the experience, and I had just had the closing on a house I sold get delayed for several weeks because of loan issues which added to my fears. Sherry Riano and her staff (I worked closely with Linley Best) were awesome to work with.
We were able to meet a very aggressive closing schedule and got a great rate.

I closed a refinance with DNJ Gateway Austin Herbert team. On the plus side, I got a good rate, and I have no reason to think anything was done incorrectly. However, I left the closing feeling that I had been taken.
I requested a specific amount for refinance, and only that amount. I didn't sign my Truth in Lending statement in the loan package because the loan amount was approximately $5,000 more than the amount I requested. I left a voicemail with Austin Herbert noting the incorrect amount. When I needed to sign documents for my Application Package, the amount was still incorrect, and

Over the past dozen years I've taken out or refinanced about 1/2 dozen mortgages and Home Equity loans. While I love the interest rate I received through DNJ Gateway and I appreciate being able to save thousands of dollars over the next several years, I have to say this experience, out of all of them, was the least friendly, least personable and most stressful mortgage experience I've been through.
